Day 9
Have a Thankful Attitude
We must understand that this life is a gift from God. He has giving us the ability to feel, to taste, to grow, to love, and to be creative. He has blessed us with so much and it is our job to be appreciative of the blessings that he has given us.
Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
I Thessalonians 5:16-18
He presents himself to us as a loving father. This is because this is the best interpretation in our mind to relate to his being. God is awesome! He is the best Father a child could have. He will provide for us everything we need while making away for us to have everything that we want. He will give us the desires of our heart, but there is a catch in our basic understanding of this promise. . .
If we desire the things that are not a part of our purpose, we will encounter much toil and hardships in our life. If we were to line up with God’s word and do what it says, consequently, our desires would line up to God’s will for us. Life gets much easier when we are on the same page as God. Life is much happier.
How do we get to that point?
We must have an attitude for gratitude. Having a thankful heart for God’s provision allows you to see more of God’s provision. The benefit of feeling your father’s care makes you more confident in pursuing your purpose.
I challenge you to make a list of five things you are thankful for for the next 34 days of this devotional. If you didn’t already, I encourage you to grab a notebook, diary, or journal and start recording your journey today!!
