Wisdom Wednesday: Being "Woke" is real

I'm telling you, this thing is real.  If God wakes you up and calls you to do something . . . do it!

We no longer have time to sit down, and sit back and watch the world be lost.  We have a duty to speak up for the Lord, but too many of us are lost and don't know what to do when we start seeing things different.

What types of things am I talking about?  Well you know when you watch a movie and you start to see the parallels of real life.  I'm not talking about a romantic comedy type movie where you can relate to the heart break and love story.  I'm talking about you can start to see the robotic alien invasion becoming real or you can calculate the spiritual warfare on the minds of the masses.  You can see that the value that is placed on the life in this world is over rated.

What are you living for?

This is the thing . . . every Wednesday this year I will try my best to write, post, and update you on what you need to know about the end of this age.  I am for real.  Every once in a while I get like this, just very nervous about the things that I see.  But the Lord has told me to calm down, he knows what he is doing.  I get excited about the justice that is going to take place by the King's judgement, but I also know that there are too many people that don't know what is going on.

If you are "WOKE"  Understand that it is because it is time to live life on purpose.  It is time to preach the word of Jesus Christ through out all the earth.  He is coming back soon.  Get your mind right. Don't be afraid, don't be ashamed, know that our Lord is here to save us from ourselves.  We are all wrong and we have all sinned.  We have all fallen short, but God's grace and mercy has saved us.  We are his children and he loves us.  This is not something to be afraid of and you are not alone.  If you feel like you are "woke"  I will love to chat with you.  I'm setting up an email just for my readers.  Wisdom Wednesday will be the only day I post this email.  You can write me and I will do my best to respond to you right away.

I'm learning something about these videos too. I need to get a good cover picture because these faces that I am making are crazy looking!!! SMH  Anyway, ignore that and check out the videos.  One is brand new and this first one is old but I'm talking about the same thing really.  The Lord is coming back soon!!!  Get your mind right!!

Oh my, Look at that face.  But I'm talking to you on the real . . .  Being "WOKE" is real. . .

motivation for monday: Walk Your Journey

Greetings Friends,

All my love goes out to you.  All my well wishes and encouragement to live another day.  You woke up for a reason and that reason is still available for you to proceed in.  I pray that we all are filled with great purpose so that we have the drive to press forward for each other.

God is constantly teaching me humility.  I love the Lord and I love his people.  There are gifts that I have to motivated and to share my testimony through art and writing.  Guess what?  You also have a gift and a way that you are supposed to share your testimony.  It is that simple, we are supposed to share with each other and help each other through life.  We shouldn't think that one is better than the other just because he gets paid more on his job, or he has the higher title, or the bigger house.  Friends, this should not be so.  The Lord does not like a haughty heart.  What does it mean to have a haughty heart?  It simply means that a person carries a superior attitude about himself.  The person looks down on others and think that his gifts are superior because of the way that society looks at it.  This should not be so. The Lord gives everyone a story to live out.  We all have a purpose to carry out.  We must understand that we are exactly where we are supposed to be for the writing of our story.  Our journey has a purpose, a story, and a testimony attached to it.

Here is your Motivation for Monday:

Everybody is special

Everybody has the potential to grow

Everybody has the ability to live his journey

I wasn't too sure what I wanted to write about today.  All I know is that the Lord is taking me through a pretty special journey.  It is not always easy, but I know that it is necessary.  The common lesson that I am learning is to be appreciative of God's mercy and grace because it is only by it that we get anywhere in life.  The lesson in short is this:  humble yourself.
Popular world culture is telling us to write our own journey, live our best life, be the captain of our own ship.  However the word of God tells us to wait on the Lord, humble ourselves, and to live according to truth.  We were never meant to live this live on our own. We were never meant to fill the pressures of making our own plans.  But we do, and we get overwhelmed and stressed by it.  Many are the plans of a man's hear, but it is always God's purpose that will prevail.  We have help from Jesus.  God grants us help to reconnect with him through Christ Jesus.
All we have to do is ask for the help!

It is only by his grace that I am still alive.   It is only by his mercy that any of us are alive because it gives us another chance and another day to tell people about the gift of Jesus Christ.  If you are heavy in your heart, seek after Jesus.  If you are still heavy after seeking Jesus, then you may be seeking the wrong Jesus.  There are a lot of counterfeit Christ out there that want to convince you to do the wrong type of growing.  The only things that you need are the basics:

A Bible

Some Quiet Time

Some prayer

Some Grace

These things are all free.  God loves us so much that he has already provided everything that we need.  We just have to grow in understanding in how to access it.  We access it by walking our journey with him.  Staying with him.  Seeking after him.
It is only by his grace that I am protected by the things that are set out to destroy me.  It is only by his grace that I am in the position that I am in.  I have nothing to do with my success.  It is only by God's grace.  It is because he loves me.  It is because he had a plan for me.  Hence, I cannot think that I am better than anyone else.  Everyone has their journey to walk.  The harder the journey, the greater the reward.

I just lost my uncle the other day.  He struggled with a lot in life.  He had a hard journey and while some may want to point the finger of damnation, I know that my Lord is awesome.  I know that my Lord is merciful, and although my uncle's journey was hard on earth, great will be his reward in heaven.  May God fill your soul with peace, because you are his.

My sister and I went to a prayer breakfast for a family member the other day.  This prayer breakfast was to pray for her baby to come to full term into this world.  She had many babies that did not make it.  The doctors told her that she would never be able to have children, but God had other plans.  We send our peace, blessings, and protection to her today.  She had a hard journey, but God is merciful.  Our God is awesome.

My uncle called me last night just to say hi.  We chatted and reminisced about my dad who we lost about a year ago.  It seems like just yesterday.  I miss him dearly and it brings me great pain to remember over and over again that he is no longer with us.  But his love and his many lessons about life are still with me.  And I say thank you daddy.  And I say, thank you Lord for the peace that surpasses all understanding which continues to motivate me to live this journey.

Friends, the Lord is love and he will lead you to where you need to go.  Trust him.  We don't have to do it all ourselves.  Relax in the Lord.  Talk to him and ask his direction.  If you are at a point in your life where he is telling you to rest, do it.  If he is telling you to prepare, prepare.  If he is telling you to work, work.  Don't go ahead of God.  He is with you always.

Walk your journey with the Lord:

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Humble Service in the Body of Christ
3For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. 4For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your a faith; 7if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, b do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

Love in Action
9Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

14Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. c Do not be conceited.

17Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” d says the Lord. 20On the contrary:
“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.” e

21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good

Romans: 12:1-21

Continue to do good friends, continue to walk with the Lord on your journey.

What ever it is that you struggle with, God will send help.
Jesus will help you.
I don't care if it is

adultery/fornication
drugs/alcohol
Satan worship/idolatry
health-physical/mental
death/mourning
infertility
stress/anxiety
self identity

There is always a better way, have you tried Jesus?
and if you do know Jesus, who have you helped get to know him a little better?

Motivation for Monday: You are a winner!

I just wanted to right a quick post about how things will not always work out the way that we want them to, but they will work out in the end.  If  things are not alright, then it is not the end. . .

We are seeing a lot of crazy things happening in this world.  You may hear things like: "It's the end of the world," or "The rapture is soon to come."   People get so worried and so scared about what is going on in the media that they can't focus on directions given to them by God. They are paralyzed in fear. . .  But the Lord says:

The End is NOT Yet!

The news is not going to cover the peace, the healing, the power of God moving in the people.  The news is not going to let you know that there is a spiritual awakening happening amongst God's people.  Let me tell you that the time is now!  I encourage you to listen to my book on You tube to get an understanding of where we are in the times.  Search # AT4P.

I have been thinking a lot lately about my next move in my career.  I want to be able to inspire people and motivate people to live their best life.  I want to let them know that even when days seem the darkest, there is a light.  There is always another step to take even if that step seems heavy.  I have to believe that our trials make us stronger.  Our losses prepare us for the wins.

Here is your Motivation for Monday

You are a winner

So Keep Winning

Here is the thing.  We can get a lot of signals telling us that we are not getting very far in our life.  When we compare our success to other people, we can tend to feel burdened by a need to do more and be more.  The Lord has been talking to me lately about how I put so much pressure on myself to be the achiever that I miss out on the most important things that I should be working on.  For example, I have a tendency to neglect myself in order to meet the needs of other people.  I tell people yes when I really want to tell them no.  I often put my kids needs on the back burner for other people.  The Lord told me that I needed to stop.  If I wanted my life to change then I needed to change my perspective.  The idea that I adopted is that I am worth my own time.  My needs are just as important as someone else's requests for me to complete.  My family is a priority and there for I am a priority.  If I don't take care of myself then how can I take care of my family. My growth is more important than any body else's plans for me. My worth is more than anyone's opinion of me. I am a winner and I need to start acting like a winner.

I am going to start acting like a winner!

The thing is no one knows you like you know you.  No one knows you like the Lord knows you.  This is why it is so important to get in a relationship with him so that he can tell you the areas that you need to work on. I have a lot of areas to work on, everyone does!  But your faults don't mean that you should be losing. Let's work together to adopt a winner mentality.

No one knows you.  No one has the right to try to project their opinions about you onto you.  It is not anyone's right to direct you because they have an idea of how you fit into their vision.  NO!  It is ok to have your own dreams and it is ok to have your own vision.  It is ok to start acting, looking, presenting, learning and growing as a WINNER!

What does it mean to be a winner?

The winner mentality is simply this:  You find peace and happiness in any situation because you trust in God to provide your every need.  You believe that Jesus will teach you and direct you through every trial.  You seek after the Kingdom and everything else falls into place.  You have confidence always because you know that you are a child of God and that you have already won!  You already Won!

You're a winner!

Keep pressing towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God!

There are rewards in this race!

. . . seek ye first the Kingdom of Heaven and these things will be added unto you.

I am so excited about the Kingdom.  Sending you love always.  Remember to live your life on purpose.  You are not like everyone else.  You have changed your mind about how things work in this world and that seems weird to people.  That is okay.  You are a winner, and that's weird!

Check out this great podcast that I found as suggested by Rachel Hollis:  It is called the Dave Ramsey Show where he gives great advice about how to handle and manage your money.  The episode that I just finished listening to was called:

Winning isn't Easy. It's Weird.

Download Sticher for free and listen to great shows about what you need to know about living your best life.  You are a winner and not everyone is going to understand that.  It is going to be weird to them that you no longer do what they tell you to do.  Instead, you do what the Lord tells you to do.  This is why we are here on the Earth, to follow the will of our God. . .

Love you Much

Motivation for Monday: Forgiveness

You cannot redeem yourself.  No matter how hard you try to make everything right again in your life,  You can't fix it, you have to go to the hospital.  You are wounded.  You are wounded. . .

There are several things that I want to touch on hear today

Saul & David
Kingdom
Mindset
perspective
Jesus

I had several major break throughs this weekend.  I realized that I had adopted an intellectual understanding of forgiveness but I had never put it to practice.  Well, I did once before but I had forgotten how to do it when a series of unfortunate hurts hurled themselves upon my comfort zone.  I was in a dizzy spell, an illusion of calm.  I kept telling myself that I was ok, but I wasn't.  I was hurt by someone else's words that stabbed me repeatedly while laughing in glee to how it slaughtered my spirit.  My soul aches into a million pieces of doubt and self sabotage.  I did not feel like I was good enough to be me.

Thank God for people who have been through similar hurts.  Thank God for friends and family who sincerely care about my well being an about my purpose.  Thank you, to those people who lovingly except me for who I am and share a vision for you I am to become.  I love you all.

Here is the thing.  There are and will always be people who mean to do you harm.  However, they don't know why.  They don't really understand the complexities of the mind and what drives human behavior.  People do what they do because of the way they feel.  So many people are driven by their emotions.  Should it be this way?  I don't know, but we do it.  The thing is that there are certain people that make you feel a certain way and this is why you treat them the way you treat them and vise versa.  For example if you are threatened by a person's strengths you may subconsciously feel the need to attack those strengths.  If that  person subconsciously reads your passive aggressive behavior/comments as an attack, then that person may avoid being around you.  Then you notice that that person is avoiding you and running away, so you chase after him or her.  So on and so forth.  For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

I am realizing, as I write, that I just explained my marriage.  I also just explained my relationship with my late church family.  At this moment I am going to comment real quick on what I was actually referring to which was Saul's relationship with David.  But let me add before we discuss it,  forgiveness is a very important ingredient to moving on with your life.

You can find this story in I Samuel chapter 8 -30.  You should read it,  great study.

There was this guy, who was handsome, he was tall, and he looked like a king.  There was this other guy, who was one of God's prophets who was told to anoint this good looking guy as the leader of the Israelites (God's chosen people).  So this prophet (Samuel) hooked the guy up with the title, the prestige, and the notoriety.  People loved him and wanted him to be their king.  So this young guy, who became a warrior, who also became well liked, and also kind of famous; became the king.  His name was Saul, and he love every minute of it.  He was the man.

The thing was, Samuel, the prophet had told Saul that God wanted him to war against and kill a local group of people, the Amalekites.  This sounds cruel, but these people were evil people who set out to destroy the children of Israel.  Saul didn't do his duty as king because he listened to the people.  He wanted to please the people, because we wanted to be liked by the people. . .

People: "Yo, Saul my man, we should spare the good cattle, we can eat for years!"

Saul: "IDK, we should do what the Lord says to do. . ."

People: "Yeah but, think about how much bigger and better the Kingdom will be if you where to not kill the king. Other people will be afraid of you!"

People: "Yes, lets get all of their stuff and bring it back with us, so that we can get all of the praise and the glory for not only defeating the Amalekites, but also bringing back a whole lot of stuff."

Saul: "Ok, this will be good, then we can make a burnt offering to the Lord.  Sounds like a plan.  I love you guys, your awesome!"

But when Saul came back with all the "STUFF," Samuel was like "What have you done!?"

Samuel was heated:
"Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.

So, because of Saul's attitude and disobedience he was told that the Kingdom was not going to be given to his descendants.  The Lord was going to give the kingdom to someone else.  Why was this?  Because Saul's disobedience reflected what was in his heart.  He was more concerned about pleasing the people then he was about pleasing God.  When we hold these types of beliefs and values in our heart, we are also subconsciously programming them into our children.  Therefore, there was not one descendant in Saul's family line that would carry on the proper Kingdom message.  Saul's family would have been more self serving and people pleasing.  Saul's line would have easily been persuaded by compliments and bribes.  Saul did not fully grasp his value as the KING, the one who says the decree which everyone had to listen to for the very reason that he was the king.  Saul knew that there was going to be a man who was going to take his place.  This man's name was David.  He was a man after God's own heart.

To make a long story short:

Ironically, Saul became David's mentor.  David loved Saul and Saul loved David.  But deep down Saul was extremely threatened by David.  He was drawn to his strength as a warrior and he was drawn to his peace.  However Saul was also jealous of David and wanted to kill him.  David picked up on the clues, and ran away.  Saul pursued after him, still trying to kill him.  But because the Lord was on David's side, David showed sympathy, kindness, respect, mercy, and forgiveness towards Saul, his current King.  It was because of David's attitude of forgiveness that he was able to grow from his experience.

Here is your Motivation for Monday:

Forgiveness is a powerful tool

Forgive someone today and see how much God will elevate you

I had the break through that I have held both positions in various relationships.  I had been the Saul and I had been the David.  Saul was never able to forgive himself for his wrong thinking when he didn't obey the word of the Lord.  He wasn't able to because he didn't have the help of the Holy Spirit to guide him.  He self sabotaged his growth.  He condemned himself.  But David's nature knew the mercy of the Lord.  He had the heart to ask for forgiveness throughout his life.  He did not self sabotage himself.  He made mistakes, but he was able to move on from them.  This made him a great king.  We are descendants of this King's heart.  We can be descendants of this kingdom through accepting the mind gift of Jesus Christ.

Today I forgive those who have hurt me
I forgive those who I feel have abandoned me
I forgive those who said unkind words about me or to me
I forgive those who are jealous of my peace
I forgive those who are jealous of my relationship with the Lord
I forgive those who seek to destroy me

I ask forgiveness from those who I have spoke against
I ask forgiveness for my wrong thinking
I ask forgiveness for my passive aggressive behavior
I ask forgiveness for ignoring those who are important to me
I ask forgiveness for my pride

I forgive my self for my lack of knowledge
I forgive myself for my failures
I forgive myself for disorganization
I forgive myself for my disobedience
I forgive myself for my slothfulness

I thank God for sending his son to allow me to forgive myself and to forgive others.

David always held Saul in high regard, as a servant of the God, regardless of his evil actions.  David exercised forgiveness, and his very conflict with his opponent made him a better king.  David did not hold on to resentment, but he respected and forgave Saul.  This was major growth for him. At the same time, David wasn't stupid, he saw the plan to take his life and he went to seek protection elsewhere.  He grew in other places he went, as a man of God.  He had to travel a necessary journey to become a King.

I pray that this speaks to your heart.  I pray that you have a practice of forgiveness in your life.

Today I forgive so that I can grow
oh I feel the power of letting go
I see the vision of the dream deferred
I press forward speaking the word
I thank you hurt and pain for showing me who I have to be
I thank you forgiveness, love, and mercy
It is your power that gives me new life
Now I can be me, with no toil, with no strife
Oh I receive the inheritance of riches untold
I seek the Kingdom, worth more than gold
It is worth more than any applause, or any title
I will get to where I am going, if I wait just awhile
I seek protection in the caves, in the shadows, and in the war
I will never forget, what I am fighting for.

Until Next Time:

Check this one out.  I relearned this lesson hard.  Now it is my turn to take the Lord's advice.  He is the one to redeem, not myself!!!
