Day 19
Your Mind is powerful
Have you started your journal yet? Have you started writing things down yet?
Here is the thing, there will be those people who just skim, there will be those people who just read and there will be those people who do everything that is asked of them in order to apply what is learned. When you apply your learning it tends to stick with you more. How do you apply your learning? By carrying things out, by taking action steps!
If you have not done so, I want to encourage you to grab a notebook, and go back to day 1 of this devotional. Start to write down verses and meditate on them. If you have not done it yet it just means you really don’t believe it. You are telling yourself that it really doesn’t take all that!
Well, I am telling you just like Jesus told the people of his time . . . YOU MUST CHANGE YOUR WAY OF THINKING!!
I am going to share with you a universal principle: Write it down and make it plain.
When you write things down it becomes clearer to your subconscious mind. It is this mind, that you are not fully aware of, that governs the way you carry out your life. This is what all of these devotionals are aiming to change: the way that you think and the way that you see things. When you follow through with the actionsteps, the journaling, and the meditation you are sending your subconscious a new conditioning program. Through this programming you will start a new self-talk dialog in your subconscious.
Instead of hearing things like: That will never happen. That is too good to be true. I don’t believe in life after death.
You will start saying to yourself: I want to live forever. I know that Jesus loves me. I know that God is real.
Writing things down will help you get to where you need to go. You will remember the lessons that you need to remember. You will have a better chance at not being distracted or misdirected. Jesus wants to rescue you from all the hurt, harm and danger of this world. He wants to protect you. He wants to lift you up from the troubles of this world. He wants you to listen and obey his words so that he can uplift your spirit! Start writing things down to show that you are ready to receive your vision!!!
You will be walking in PURPOSE and running to your destiny . . . run, run, run!
Let us meditate on this verse so that we can see that God has written this principle in his word:
“Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”
Habakkuk 2:2
We must prepare our minds to receive the vision!!
