Live Life Post 110 God Prepared

Throw Back Sunday!

I rolled into church late again saints!  Why am I always late!?  Anywho, that is not the subject at hand, I just wanted to explain why I missed  testimony service.  It was because I was late.

But I caught the tale end where my little sister was giving her testimony about how God worked everything out for her.  She was going through, but now she made it through.  She had the evidence showing in her life, she was working, finishing her first semester back in school with all A's and just really doing well.  She said that she could not miss 5th Sunday THROW BACK TESTIMONY SERVICE!  I am so dense that I was like (to myself) Oh is that what we do every 5th Sunday?!

5th Sunday-Testimony Service.  I have a testimony, I do, I just don’t have the courage to stand up in front of people at church and tell the whole congregation about my successes in the Lord before it has come to pass.  I know that God will bless me with income to help my family,  I know that God will help me build a business from scratch, I know that God will bring me through the trials that I am going through, this I know.  But who will believe my testimony of all the great things that have happened to me if it hasn’t actually happened yet?  I can see it, but convincing other people to see it, how do I do that?  But God told me that it is not my job.  So, I write.  This will be the evidence that I have known the great things that God had in store for me before they happened.

He is preparing me, just like he is preparing you.

Do you find yourself trying to explain to people what God has called you to do?

We don’t have to worry about that.  What God told you to do is for you to do, regardless if anyone else knows or understands it.  We just have to be obedient to what God has told us to do.

When the time is right, your life will show it, and your testimony will be strong to help other people.  People will understand and know what it means to be GOD PREPARED.

We are specifically chosen to do a work for the Lord.  We are called to a purpose for the Lord.  If you haven't heard your calling yet, it is just because God is preparing you to hear his voice.  You have to know him in order to successfully answer his call. . .

But it is Sunday, so let us talk about what the preacher talked about.

So what did the preacher preach about today?  It was a good message out of the book of Jonah.  The gist of the message was:

Be obedient to the will of God the first time, or he will remind you who he is.

It wasn’t really a wrath of God message but it was a message showing how God operates.  It was a message to demonstrate the way we think is not the way that God thinks.  God is strategic, well planned out.  He is the most sophisticated chess player in the game of life because he sees every move an infinite number of times ahead of you.  Jonah’s story is a story about how our ways are not God’s way. Our thoughts are not God's thoughts.  Our understandings are not God's understandings.

Instead, we are God's handiwork, and he is preparing us for our purpose.  You don't have to understand it, people don't have to understand it.  God understands and he knows exactly what you need to do to get to where he needs you to go.

Jonah was confused on this.  Jonah had made up in his mind that he knew what was best for him to do.  He did not listen to the call of the Lord.

The preacher asked:
“Do you have the Jonah Syndrome?”

We all have the Jonah syndrome. Why?  Because it is easier for us to make excuses rather than to do something we don't want to do.

Real quick if you are not familiar with the story of Jonah . . . He was a prophet that was told by the Holy Spirit to go to Nineveh and preach to the people there.  He was to tell them to change their mind from their evil ways and follow the ways of the Lord.  But Jonah didn’t want to do this because he didn’t like these people.  He thought they were all sinners who were not deserving of God’s grace, or a second chance to receive God’s blessings.  So what did Jonah try to do?  He tried to run away.  He got on a ship thinking that he was going to get away from his calling.  He chose not to listen to the voice of the Lord.

Long story short:  He didn’t get away, he caused God to create a storm, he got tossed overboard in the water, and then swallowed by a great fish.  He stayed in the belly of that fish for three days and three nights until he learned his lesson.  What was the lesson?

It is better to answer the call of the Lord then to feel the consequence of your disobedience.

So I ask you again?  Do you have the Jonah syndrome?

An unfulfilled life is a life not lived in God's purpose.  An unfulfilled life is a life being lived in the consequences of disobedience.

There is something that God has called you to do. Do not run away from it.  If it were easy,  it wouldn’t shape you into the person you need to become in order to fulfill your purpose.  It has to be hard, sometimes it has to be something that you don’t want to do.  This is how we grow.

God is good and has your best interest at heart.  He also has called you to do a work that will help other people.  Won’t you answer the call?

We need to start answering God everyday with a, “Yes Lord, I will.”

The preacher made some other great key points, but I believe this was the gist.  Be obedient to God.  Easy, simple, to the point.  Learn this and you are well on your way to find your purpose.

Also remember, if God called you to it, then you are prepared to do it!

God Bless You Always

Live Life post 109 This Christian Life

This Christian Life

So, as you well know, I'm a blogger now.  Like much of my family, I'm still not sure exactly what that means.

What exactly is a blogger?

I think that a blogger is just a person who has a lot to say and decides to post it on the internet on a consistent basis.  This person gets good at it the longer they do it and then builds a following.  People actually start caring about what the blogger is writing about.

They say when you write a blog you should choose one thing to write about.  The thing is I have so many things to write about.  I love poetry, music, art, my family, my culture, God, and writing . . . along with so many other things.  God is good and he has shown me that I have so much to offer.

You know that I had an awakening recently, that is if you have been following me on my Live Life blog at artteacher4purpose.blogspot.com

My awakening happened when I got laid off of my job and decided to do a complete career change.  I made a major life decision to become a writer.  I didn't know that this transition would take so long!  But I'm approaching my first full year of being a blogger. Yeah, I think I thought that I was supposed to write a blog, make lots of money, and become famous.

LOL

It doesn't work that way, nor do I want it to.  I am not much of a "popular" person.  What I mean by that is, I'm not the type of person that likes to be in front of people a lot.  You know, conversing, communicating, talking in front of people.  I'm a little bit on the introverted side.  Not as much as others, but I'm just not the one to jump in front of the spot light.

I think God has another plan for me though, because I know he is preparing me to spread his word.  One way is through this blog, which I am way more comfortable doing.  I can write about my life for days and days but talking about it in front of people! OMG.  But guess what, I am being led to talk about my life on video!  I think I'm going to be a vlogger!!!

What is a vlogger?

I 'm not even sure what that means, but I know that there is so much more to God and his word then a bunch of rules and church services.  I can write about the word, write a whole lot of bible scriptures, but what does that really mean to somebody who doesn't know Jesus?

So, in order to reach more people, I'm going to start a vlog on YouTube.  My daughter already does it and I'm sure she will teach me.  My blog is about Kingdom principles and Christian Living so I write a lot of motivation and how to live life type post.  I do ok coming up with content, but I thought to myself, "I'm always at church, and always working with the kids. . .  I should just record it and get on the ball!"  So, that's what I'm going to do, from youth group, praise dance, outreach, and more.

This is my Christian Life. . .

This is going to take a lot of hard work but I want to share with people what a Christian Life really looks like.  So pray for me that this new venture will help spread the word of God and help lead people to Christ.

I hope to start soon, and I will definitely link my videos on this blog.

This is definitely a GOD idea.

I thank God for leading me one step closer to my purpose
until next time

Live Life Post 108 Small Beginnings

Post 108

For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
Zechariah 4:10

I am a writer now, and so I write.  I write every day like I'm a runner training for the Olympics.  What you probably don't see is that I do more writing then just this blog.  I also write proposals for the youth group, I write another blog, I write tons of emails, and I am also writing a book.  The book is about this.  The "this" is this big scary thing that I decided to jump into, I changed careers.  I am no longer an art teacher but instead a writer.  I changed my whole life.

God Always Makes Provision

I know that my family worries about me and wonders what I am going to do for money.  But God tells me not to worry about those things.  He has that under control and so I try to wait patiently to see where the provision will come from.  Each month I build up with worry and doubt that it just isn't going to happen for me.  But then I read my word and a chase those thoughts away.  I build up my faith and I tell my self. . .

"I am what God says I am, I can be what God says I'll be."

I know that this whole process may take a long time.  I know that I am starting out small.  I also know what God has promised me.  I reject this notion of work hard until I can't work anymore, then die so that my children can go through the same thing.  I want more for my children.  I want Kingdom promises and Kingdom blessings!  That is what I want and that is what I'm working towards.

For who hath despised the day of small things?

Zechariah 4:10

So, I may be starting small, but that is ok.  You have to start somewhere when you are working for the Lord.  You have just have to start and let God take care of the rest.  I pray for you and pray that this post will encourage you just to start something that God has asked you to do.  We may be scared to start but God has a work for each of us.  You will be what God says you will be.  He will bless you for working for him.

God is always watching.

I am going to keep writing this book.  I am going to be what God says I will be. Be blessed always.

Until Next Time

Live life post 106 YouVersion

Have you tried  YouVersion yet?

youversion.com

It sends a bible verse to your inbox everyday.

Here is Today's verse:

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
Ecclesiastes 12:13 KJV

That verse pretty much sums up everything.  So now we just have to figure out the following . . .

What does it really mean to fear the Lord?

What are his commandments and how do we keep them?

Each person's assignment on this earth is different, but we all have the responsibility to listen and obey the word of God.  To fear the Lord is to love the Lord, to love the Lord is to obey his commandments.

Start your journey today and learn what the Lord wants you to do.

My prayers and well wishes go out to you.

Live life post 105 How Great Thou Art!

Post 105

artteacher4purpose.com

God is just so AWESOME that it is just unbelievable to me that people don't believe in him.  If we can just open up our eyes and see all the beauty that he has made around us . . . the trees,  the sky, the stars, the grass, the wind, the water, the light, us, our family, . . . I myself am in awe.

It reminds me of a song I used to sing at church: "How Great Thou Art!"

Read some of the words to this awesome song:

Oh Lord my God
When I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds
Thy hands have made
I see the stars
I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout
The universe displayed

Then sings my soul
My Savior, God, to Thee
How great thou art
How great thou art
Then sings my soul
My Savior, God, to Thee
How great Thou art
How great Thou art

I love this song, I love the Lord, and I pray that you can see how great he is also . . .

Do we always think on the things that God has made as great and awesome, or do we complain about all the bad things that are going on around us?

The way I see it, life, a good life, is all in your perspective.  We can choose to see all the bad, or we can choose to see the wonderful things that God made.  I like waking up in the morning, going for a walk before the sun rises, and looking at all the stars.  It is so beautiful and clear.  I talk to God and I tell him how awesome he is.  What a wonderful way to start the day.  How can you go the rest of the day and think about the bad.

Change your perspective and Change your Life!

Are there somethings that you complain about that maybe you can look at differently?

Is there a person that you don't like that you can possibly see one good thing in?

Remember, God made all things, so let's try to see the awesome beauty in everything.

Until next time

Live Life post 104 We Have a Long Way to Go

youversion.com

Have you tried the You Version Bible App yet?  It is Absolutely free.  I get access to the bible on my phone and PC.  I also get a daily bible verse in my in box.  I think I might start sharing with you guys.  Here is today's verse:

Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

1 John 3:16 KJV

Do we love each other the way that God loves us?

Think About It . . .

I know that I would lay down my life for my children, maybe my sister or my parents in the heat of the moment. . . perhaps my best friend, but someone from church, especially someone who is older than me?  I think I have to think about that one.  I mean if you are older then me then that means you lived your life!

I guess I have a long long way to go.

For I say to every man that is among you, through the grace given unto me, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Romans 12:3

When I think about things like this, living for Christ, I know I am nowhere near where God needs me to be.  I know God is teaching me humility.  I love the word because it tells me that this whole thing is a process.  And so I continue to read, study, and learn what Jesus teaches about being like him.  The word says that Jesus is the first of his brothers and sisters to reach the Heavenly standard. Many of us will join him, and become like him because we were predestined to fulfill our purpose.  Paul writes:

For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.
Romans 8:29 NIV

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Romans 8:29 KJV
(I like and usually prefer KJV, but sometimes use NIV just to be clear on translation)

It reminds me of an album I used to listen to with my mom: "Set Me Free" by Acappella.  There was a song called "Long Way To Go."  To my surprise someone posted it on You tube!  Here are the words to the refrain followed by a link to the video:

Until we understand the message of Christ

til we learn to let him work in our lives

We have a long way to go, such a long way to go

Until we learn what love is about

til we follow him with never a doubt

We got a long way to go

I pray that this is helpful to your journey.  Remember to Love one another like God loves us because God is love.  We may have a long way to go but when you are in the body of Christ, then you are in.  You were predestined for this life!

Until Next Time

Live Life post 102 Teach the word

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:19-20

Luke 6:40
The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.

I was just reflecting a little bit on the importance of teachers.  Teachers are special.  It is a direct appointment from God.  We know that something is wrong in the world today when so many people (children and adults) think that they know everything there is to know.

We are not above our teacher, who is Jesus Christ.  He is the one that will show us, tell us and instruct us in the right way.  Will we not listen to his voice.

I pray:

Lord, help us to listen to your voice
Help us to lean not to our own understanding but in all ways acknowledging you
You are our teacher and our instruction
Our desire is to follow you
Our desire is to listen to what you will have us to do in this world
Help us, give us the confidence to go out and be teachers of your word
Help us do what you will have us to do, we being the students, and you being the master
And as we speak and teach, let it be a light to those who are in the dark
Let your word reach those who need to be reached
We teach in your name, and to your glory
Amen

Live Life Post 101- God's Plan for our lives

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Jeremiah 29:11 KJV

I wrote the following a few post back:

"Everything may not be going according to your plan.  Everything might not be going the way that you want it to go, but that is ok,  God's plan is going to happen regardless of what you think, regardless of what you plan, and regardless of how you think your life is going."

I wrote it, then I thought that it may sound a little contradictory to what I normally say.  Quite often I write and tell people to write things down, make it plain, create goals for yourself, make a plan for your future . . .

But if we make plans for ourselves, where does that leave God?

I wanted to know and you may also want to know the following:

Why do we make plans for ourselves?

Why is it important to make plans for the future?

Why is it important to set goals and have vision?

These things are important to do.  These things are necessary in order to remember the path God wants us to walk. . .

BUT . . .

There is one key factor in order for our vision, our goals, and or plans to work out for us.  They need to be given to us by God.  We need to line up with the vision that God has for us.

We have to make a transition in thinking

from "I am in control" to "God is in control"

We should not be in control of our own life.

It is imperative to listen to the voice of the Lord, follow his directions, and fulfill our purpose as it is written by the Lord our God.  There is a deception in the world today that says things like:

"Write your own destiny."
"Follow your Dreams"
"Do you"
"Be-you-tiful"

So on and so forth.

Sounds good right!  Sounds logical . . . But God says, there are false prophets that are telling you these things and making you believe something that you shouldn't believe.  Further more, you are causing these sayings (dreams) to be spoken to you.  The world knows what it is you think you want and it will try to sell it to you everyday.  Who are we trusting to give us prophetic word?  Who is feeding us the vision for our life?

We need to be very careful of what we are watching on TV and what is really conditioning us to live the lives that we are living.

What is it that the Lord told you to do?  What is the assignment that God gave you?  And how can you be sure that God is telling you to do it?

There is a verse that I mentioned before where Jeremiah was warning the captives in Babylon  (the tribe of Judah).  The Lord told them not to believe the false promises of the prophets that were not sent by him.  They were to stay where God had put them until the time when God would deliver them out of their bondage.  Even in their bondage God told them they would be safe and prosper.

Jeremiah 29: 7-14 (NIV)

Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper."  Yes, this is what the Lord Almighty the God of Israel says:

"Do not let the prophets and diviners among you deceive you. Do not listen to the dreams you encourage them to have. They are prophesying lies to you in my name. I have not sent them," declares the Lord. . .

This is what the Lord says "When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my good promise to bring you back to this place.

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. . .

Then you will call on me and come and pray to me and I will listen to you.  You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.  I will be found by you." declares the Lord, "and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you," declares the Lord, "and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile."

We have to understand, that even when God puts us somewhere that we don't necessarily want to be, it is for our own good.  It is all in God's plan for us.  And here it goes again:

God desires to have a relationship with us.

He wants us to walk and talk with him.  Pray to him, seek his face and return to him.  Acknowledging that it is he that has made us and not we ourselves.  He wants to direct us in the way that we should go.  He has promised good things for us.  He wants to share the vision, plans, and purpose that he has written for our lives.  But first we have to believe him, believe in his word, and believe in the promise that he has written for us.  The word is Jesus Christ.  In order to start our journey to our purpose, we need to believe in Jesus.

Final thought:  Even when bad things happen to us, or things are not going our way; it will work out to profit the good of God's plan.

And we know all things work together for good.

I pray that this is good to you.  I pray that it touches your spirit and connects you closer to God.  He is not an evil God that wants to destroy his people.  Instead,  He wants to bring his people peace, prosperity and happiness.  We just have to learn how to listen to his voice.

God Bless You
Until Next Time

Live Life post 100 What causes us to be sad?

There may be more to feeling down then just being sad . . .

I was listening to Kelly Brogan on Marie Folio talking about how depression can be a symptom of something that is wrong inside our bodies, perhaps even inside our stomachs . . .

I wanted to link this video because I thought she was talking about some pretty interesting stuff regarding depression.

What if how you are feeling is connected to what you are eating?

Check this out and maybe we can talk about this later . . .

Live Life post 99 The End of the World is Here!

Post 99

Did you know that it is the end of the world?

Well the Devil is busy making his plan to destroy man kind.

But,

This is not the time to worry, but instead this is the time to witness.  The end is closer then we think.  We need to go out and tell everyone we know about Jesus.

I'm lookin at this new age movement and it seems like a very strong delusion is coming over people.  People really think they can become gods and write the real God out of the picture.

How foolish is this world?

Read my article about this New Age Movement, I think it is quite interesting and I am going to keep on researching the topic.

http://artteacher4purpose.com/2017/04/21/new-age-movement/

Do people really understand the power that they are tapping into?  I don't think so.

Do God's people really understand the power and authority that they hold in this world?  I don't think so.  There is about to be a huge awakening for the true followers of Jesus Christ.  But you have to follow Jesus and nothing else.  There is no other way to the Father but by the son.

Good Luck to you on your journey.

Until Next Time

Live Life post 98 I didn't go to Church Today

Post 98

I actually didn't go to church today.  This is a strange thing because I usually go to church every Sunday.  It would be odd for me to miss.

Guess what I was doing?

I was making flower corsages for all the women at my mom's church.  They had a special service today and all the women came to church wearing shades of blue.  Awe, how cute.

Now, I didn't have an issue making them, I like making things.  I just had to make them last minute and it ended up cutting into my worship time.  Oh well, what can you do?

Oh I remember: "Prioritize Your Purpose!"

http://artteacher4purpose.com/2017/03/23/6-steps-to-prioritize-your-purpose/

Click Picture to Read Article

I wrote an article before about how people will overwhelm you with everything on their agenda if you don't stand up for what is on your agenda.  Better yet, what God put on your agenda.

I know that I have to concentrate on what God told me to do . . . so this week I am writing like their is no tomorrow.  I have to finish this book and start saying no to everything else around me. . . Distractions are constant and we just have to learn how to prioritize the will of God.

What has God told you to do?

Let's do what God says because time is running out . . .

It is time to find your purpose in the Kingdom.

Live Life: Post 97 This is why I am not a New Ager . . .

Post 97:  This is why I am not a New Ager. . .

I recently used this picture, it makes me laugh and I had to use it again.  I believe that I am awesome, but only because God made me and I have surrendered my life to him, he is in total control, hence I am awesome . . .

HOWEVER

Thinking about yourself and how awesome you are is one of the biggest deceptions of the enemy.  We are nothing without God.  We would know nothing if it wasn't for his word, Jesus Christ.

I really was curious why someone thought I was a new ager.  I thought that the New Age movement was just a philosophy that included yoga, meditation, and some other practices to help people cope with life.  Well I was wrong about that.  This is about to be one of the biggest deceptions that the enemy has attempted yet . . .

I am not writing this to explain fully what New Ages is right now because I am writing another blog post for that (stay tuned and I will link it later).

Instead, I have to tell you why I am not a New Ager, I am a Christian.

In general, New Agers believe that:

     God is in everything (pantheism)
     All things are one (monism)
     Man is God
     Mind creates reality
One’s own experience validates the truth
Evil does not exist(or it is not real)
That sin does not separate man from God but negative thought

source:

I am not a new ager because:

1) I believe there is only one way to the father through his son Jesus Christ
2) I believe that it is through Jesus dyeing on the cross that has reconnected us to God
3)  I believe that sin (missing the target of truth) is what separates man from God
4) I believe that you must be born again in order to build a true relationship with the Lord
5)  I believe that believing in Jesus,  believing that he died on the cross, and believing that he defeated the devil is truth.
6)  I believe in the new covenant: that man has a sinful nature and can be saved by grace through Jesus Christ, by not only believing but confessing the above statements.
7) I believe that God is eternally existent in three person, God the Father, The son, and the Holy Spirit.

Now, here are somethings that I believe, that can be supported by scripture, that may sound weird to some Christians but is absolutely the truth.  The closer you walk with Jesus, the more he will show you truth.   I think that perhaps these beliefs may sound  a little new age  if you don't read your bible, but here goes:

8)  I believe in the old covenant, the law of God, and that this law is written on the hearts of the believers through believing in Jesus Christ and being born again by the Holy Spirit.
9) I believe that we are spirits, incased in a soul, incased in a body
10)  I believe that the body is only a temporary dweling place that limits us, and that our natural death will only be the beginning of eternal life if you are born again by the power of the Holy spirit.
11) I believe that applying universal law can bring about new realities, interpretations, and perspectives on an other wise dismal life, hence connecting more to the spiritual aspects of this world.
12)  I believe that God is everywhere, and that everything is made of energy, and that this energy cannot be created nor destroyed only transformed, transferred, or transfigured. (I talk a lot about the power of our words in my blog post)
13)  I believe that love is key in creating a better world.  (Mainly loving God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind) so that he can allow Jesus (the law, the word) to direct us on the only path to the father.

Now here is why I am DEFINITLY not a New Ager:

13)  I believe that God, Jesus and the Holy spirit are real, and that he is not a man that he would lie,  therefore, there is an adversary, and his name is Satan, the evil one, that lying serpent the devil.
14) I believe that the devil is a liar that has deceived the whole world.

Are you a Christian?
Do you know what you believe?
Are you clear on what the bible says or are you just following the flock because it seems like the right thing to do?

I want to know where you stand on this subject . . . what is new age to you?

I'm on a mission to help you find your place in God's Kingdom.  This might sound like a new age thought but I'm sorry, to inform you, this is what it is all about.  It is harvest time.  The angels are separating the wheat from the tears.  Certain things are being released into the atmosphere because angels are being redirected off of their normal post and being assigned to harvest. Time is running out.  The world will just get sicker, and the kingdom will rise, and the world will see who the people of God really are.  You need to find your place in the Kingdom.  It is time to get real with this thing.

This is not Fear.  Keep keeping calm and trusting God, through prayer and supplications.  Just know that we all have work to do.
God bless you always.

Live Life: post 96 What is New Age?

post  96  New Age- My Quick Calculations on the Subject . . .

I had recently been accused of being a new age thought encourager, so I had to look up exactly why. . .

I had asked the person to explain why they thought so but I never got a response back.  I had a idea of what a new ager was but I want to do more research to find out more details.  And where do you go to find out more about something, why Wikipedia of course!?

Well maybe not totally a good source but a good place to start.  Briefly this is what it said:

The New Thought movement (also "Higher Thought"[1]) is a philosophical movement which developed in the United States in the 19th century, considered by many to have been derived from the unpublished writings of Phineas Quimby. . .

New Thought holds that Infinite Intelligence, or God, is everywhere, spirit is the totality of real things, true human selfhood is divine, divine thought is a force for good, sickness originates in the mind, and "right thinking" has a healing effect.[4][5]
Although New Thought is neither monolithic nor doctrinaire, in general, modern-day adherents of New Thought share some core beliefs:
  1. God or Infinite Intelligence is "supreme, universal, and everlasting";
  2. divinity dwells within each person, that all people are spiritual beings;
  3. "the highest spiritual principle [is] loving one another unconditionally... and teaching and healing one another"; and
  4. "our mental states are carried forward into manifestation and become our experience in daily living".[

OMG!

Now I'm thinking to my self, "maybe I am a new ager and I didn't know it", but wait there is an important thing missing here . . . where is Jesus?!!

Here's the thing guys, I entered into a new wave of a spiritual walk with Jesus in May of last year.  When I say this, it may sound weird to some but it is so very real to me.  I am building my relationship with God and God is showing me things that are beyond my natural understanding.  He specifically told me to write everything down, document so that people understand what they are going to go through on this type of journey.  There is a urgency in his deliver.  But God says, you see the signs and you will start seeing even more signs, but the end is not yet.

God is telling me that this is the time that he is pouring out his spirit to his people and revealing truths that only his chosen can fully understand.  There is some truth to the above statements, however those truths are only fully understood through the divine revelation of the Holy Spirit. With that said,  the New Age Movement is a lie and a trick of the devil!!!

Does this mean that we become afraid of things, No. But my oh my, reading some of the information out there on New age thought is very scary.  People are about to dabble and are dabbling with things that they have no business messing with.

Hence, I am not apart of the New Age Movement!

Let me briefly tell you why . . .

I am a Christian, point blank.  Through my journey the devil has tempted me with a lot of new information, trying to bait me with prosperity, power, identity, and promises of intellectual achievement.  The enemy is not stupid, he knows where to attack and he knows our weaknesses.  One of his main tactics he uses is mixing the truth with a lie.  He presents it as whole truth, then he sets the trap and watches us run with the lie, convincing ourselves that we can achieve happiness on our own.  Convincing ourselves that we can create our own destinies.

LOL, the only thing we create for ourselves is suffering, despair and an unfulfilled life!!  Especially when we don't know Jesus.

Let's address New Age Thought . . .

This is going to be a long conversation. . . I am going to do a more intense break down of this whole thing on my weekly blog post.  I also think this would make an excellent chapter in my book . . .why?

as some of my students would say . . .

Cuz, people be CRAZY, yo!

Right now, I am just blogging my first thoughts on this whole thing . . .  There is so much back knowledge on the way that enemy works.  He is a liar!!!  Let me say that again, he is a liar.  I can see that this New Age Thing is going to be a big Stumbling block for a lot of people looking for truth.

I see it with the Hebrew Israelite movement, I see it with the prosperity movement, I see it with the "Be you,"  "You can do it,"  "achieve your dreams!" movements and what ever else there is out there.

The enemy always uses the same tactics, for example:  The Nation of Islam, Jehovah witnesses,  and Religion in general.

SMH, I digress on these things.

I can talk about the Nephilim, Astrology, Scientology, Nimrod, Mystery Babylon, Buddhism and a variety of other thoughts that would just prove that it has all been done before.  It is called deception.

DECEPTION

I think this thing definitely has to be addressed.  Research guys.  Study to show yourself approved, rightly dividing the word of truth.  This is your mission as a Christian.  Time to stop running away when things get scary or hard.  We are not in this time period to remain baby Christians.  It's time to grow up because we are the ones that are supposed to redirect the people who are lost back to Jesus.

God is saying to us, how can we possibly teach others about Jesus, if they know more about him then we do?

The word says:

"My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge, because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of God, I will also forget thy children."  Hosea 4:6

"Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."  II Timothy 2:15

Real Quick:  my calculations are that

1)  New Age is a philosophical thought movement about men being gods and trying to develop a path way to find God through self examination and enlightenment.

2)  New Age thought is a deception and a trap put out there to deceive people looking for the truth.

This discussion is not the end but the beginning . . . I will continue this on my site artteacher4purpose.com.  I will also address this article

http://www.crosswalk.com/faith/spiritual-life/what-is-new-age-religion-and-why-cant-christians-get-on-board-11573681.html

So keep a heads up and stay connected . . .

God is building his army against spiritual wickedness like this.  Will you be a soldier in the army, or will you be a wall flower?

Find your purpose in this fight.

Live Life post 95 Everything Belongs to God.

post 95

"The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell there in." Psalm 24:1

I'm not your normal Christian blogger.  I think I  am learning this as people respond to my blog post.  They don't quit understand why I promote the things that I promote.  I'm not a new aged philosopher,  I'm not a holiness holestic fanatic, or a religious stickler for rules.  I'm just a follower of Christ who goes where he says to go and does what he says to do.

Here is a concept that we must all understand:

Everything belongs to God

When I say everything, I mean everything:  the earth, everything in the earth, and everything that is created in the earth.  So, I pose a question:  Why are we, as Christians, afraid of anything that the Lord made?

I just say this because someone was questioning the things that I post on this blog and labeling it as "new aged" or "worldly philosophy."   Well guess what, I'm in the world but I'm not of the world.  I know Jesus and I trust that he will not take me anywhere that I will get lost.  He gave me a passion to learn and study different religions and thoughts but that doesn't mean that I follow those philosophies.  Instead, God is showing me that everything belongs to him and he will claim back everything that the enemy turned into a lie.

I'm not given Satan reverence, but I need to let you know that he will take the truth then mix a little lie in it, in order to try to make it sound credible.  We, as Christians, as people looking for a better way of living, need to be aware of the devil's tactics.  We don't need to be afraid and back away, we just need to be aware and informed.

"My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge." Hosea 4:6

Educate yourself in the word, so that you know what the word says.  This way you won't be led astray by new aged philosophy or worldly religion.

Let me share things that we all should be doing:

1) Praying continuously, (concentrating on positive thoughts and outcomes)
2) Reading God's word (putting good information in so good information comes out)
3) Fellowshipping with other like minded Christians. (Reading and listening to testimony)
4) Giving our troubles to Jesus (Casting the Burden)
5) Asking for forgiveness (repenting your sins)
6) Acknowledging God for his goodness (Being Thankful)
7) Praising God for his goodness (out wards expression of appreciation)

All these things are explained and talked about in the bible, but did you know that religious philosophies like Buddhism, metaphysis, yoga, Confucianism, and Taoism have similar thought values.

Here's the thing . . .people lean to these other types of practices because they become afraid of the Christian ideology of "You have to be a good person in order to become a Christian."

This is a false notion!!  It is untrue.  And this has created so much pressure on a person who knows he/she has flaws, hurts, and personal disappointments, that he starts to look for something a little easier and less judgmental. . .

"Oh I think I'll try being a Buddhist, that seems spiritual, and life changing."

or

"Ill take this Yoga class because I really need to feel centered in myself."

Um, ok, then what?

Look, I'm not afraid of things like meditation and centering oneself.  .  .it can be good for your sanity, however I know that anything that turns into serving yourself rather than others, can be very dangerous.  We must all understand that this life is not about us, it is about God.

It's not about you!

Although God has made each and everyone of us into pretty awesome people, life is not about us.

You do not have to prepare yourself to be saved.  Instead, the word says that everyman has a sinful nature and that he thinks of evil continuously.  Hence, it is Christ who makes the change and not man himself.

We can not make the change we want in our lives, by ourselves.  Being a good person is not a contingency of becoming a Christian.  You just have to be a person, any person: a murderer, a robber, a drunkard, a soccer mom, a grad student,  who has finally decided that he/she does not have all the answers.  When you do this, you give your life to another purpose that is not your own.  Now, you are a Christian because you acknowledge that you belong to God.  Now you are a Christian because you believe in the gift of life that God has prepared for you.

No pressure!  Come as you are and God will make you into who you need to be.

You get it?

You always belonged to him in the first place!!  Everything belongs to God!!  Accept this, and don't deny it,  and you will be so much happier if you do so.

Again, I am not "new aged."  I do not promote things because it sounds good in theory.  I promote the word of God.

I suggest/promote, books, conversations, videos, quotes, and blogs because it may help you in your journey to find the Lord and find your purpose.  If you feel that it is out of your comfort zone, then do you.

But just to let you know I listen to all kinds of music, I watch TV, I go to the movies, I drink coffee and I like having sex with my husband on the regular!  I'm just sayin!

So, there you go.

I do wonder what people's definition of  "New Age" is because to me, there is nothing new about new age thought. . . It's just a bunch of people thinking.  Everybody has thoughts, but it is only God's thoughts that matter.

I pray that this is helpful to you in finding your purpose.

Your not weird, you were just made uniquely by God.
