Saturday Update: Scope Notes

I am rambling again and that is ok because I just like to write for the sake of writing!!

Is there something that you love to do just for the sake of doing it?  Is there something that you spend all your time on and all of your money on that gives you peace?  This thing that you do can be part of your ministry.  It can be part of your purpose.

Every person is a disciple called to plant seeds in this world.  We are supposed to be in the lost ones of this world.  You are called to a purpose.  You are called to complete an assignment here on earth!

That is what I am called to do, connect you to your purpose.

I will start promoting my book that I want to publish.  It is called "Transition Into Life" and I would like to set up a preorder list for that because there is a lot of good information in there about purpose.

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who reads my blog.  If you think it will help someone on their journey to find purpose I hope that you would share your favorites with them . . .

That is what I pray for, that these words reach the right people at the right time.  I had a pretty good Periscope this morning.   I am having trouble with transferring the video to You Tube but that is ok. I will figure it out eventually. Don't despise small beginnings . . . that is what I keep telling my self.  I will be humbled by the experiences that God is taking me through now, but I am also living in expectancy of many blessings to come.  I 'll just keep pressing towards the mark of that higher calling . . . with the help of the Lord I can fulfill my destiny.  Help me God.

With that said: wanted to paste my notes below.  Do with them what you will and be sure to check out the video on periscope before I take it down in about a month.  All my best.

 Notes from Scope

Conflicts in the Spirit:

  • Your weirdness is what makes your special.  Your uniqueness is needed to activate the very minds that will change the world.  It is like a chain reaction. Here goes the conflict: we are not here to save the world.  Jesus already did that.  We are not here to save the earth,  because the earth was meant to burn.

-But the world teaches that we Should heal the world and make it a better place. . . but God already has a plan for that.  He said he is going to make a new heaven and a new earth

-Instead our focus should be on not making money to be successful in this world, but to think of ways to reach the people who are lost in the world.  The making money part comes in as a resource to spread the news of Jesus, throughout the world.

-Each one of us is equipped with something to help make that happen.

-Your calling may not be to become a billionaire or a millionaire, entrepreneur, author, singer, actress or whatever.  What if you were called to be a stay at home mom, teaching your children about God, so that they can teach their children about God. Will you answer the call, or will you be offended by it.

-Everyone is not meant to be in the spotlight:  That conflicts with the world view but not God’s view

  • Conflict of finding your true purpose:  Are you going to go after what the world wants you to go after or what God wants you to go after . . .?
  • God wants you to go after winning souls for the everlasting Kingdom, but we have to be smart in how we do that.  We have to methodical, strategic.  It is all about how we grow, what our talent is, and how we use that talent for the purpose that God has created us for.

-What is the conflict: sin brings conflict- Purpose gets distorted- Vision gets distorted.  I see a lot of people using their gifts to exchange them for money and then call themselves blessed.  I am not saying their wrong but there is a conflict.  What is the true motive.  God sees the heart, he knows true motive.

Why do we do the things that we do?

  • Read Acts10:9-36 Today we want to talk about Peter’s conflict .  . .”say it’s not so Lord”
What he has been taught about people being unclean/ unworthy because they were gentiles . . .

It reminded me of Hosea 2:18-23

  • Stephen Hawking died.  He was theoretical physicist, cosmologist, author, and he came up worked with other scientist and report his theory that black holes emit radiation . .  So he was a big deal in the science world and the world as a whole.  He was highly esteemed among men, but what does that mean for his soul?  He was an atheist, he did not believe in God although he himself had to admit that their had to be a start to the universe.  Science actually proves that there was a beginning and therefore there had to be a designer.  Science calls it a supreme intelligence. Why?

-Conflict between what is taught, understood, and conditioned vs. the truth of God

  • People have chances but they don’t realize that the are grieving the holy Spirit:

So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. 19Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed.
20That, however, is not the way of life you learned 21when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. 22You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
25Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. 26“In your anger do not sin”d : Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27and do not give the devil a foothold. 28Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.
29Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 30And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Ephesians 4:17-32

  • Your Faith will help you find your purpose
  • I will no longer dismiss the importance of an individual.  They are important because God made them.
