Live Life post 158: Who are we if we don't have a purpose?

If there is one thing that you should know about life is that God created you because their is only one true and living God with that kind of power.  Another thing that you should know is that in the beginning before he made you, he created the word. "The word" or "logos" in Hebrew means the expressed essence of purpose. In the Greek, you may understand it as law.  Now, since the word was there in the beginning, this means that when it was spoken it was spoken on purpose to create things with a purpose.

Everything that God made was for a purpose and for a reason.  When ever God speaks he makes law.  Everything that God speaks is true and therefor is good.  Everything that is good is true and therefore offers understanding/knowledge.  Having knowledge is walking in the light of that knowledge.  Walking in the dark is walking in ignorance.  Hence, walking in the dark means you are walking in something that has no purpose.

Who are we if we have no purpose?

Who are we if our lives don't mean anything.  Who are we if we continue to do things that destroy ourselves.  Yes, we have access to do anything that we want, we have that freedom, but what does it benefit us if it is not part of our purpose.

We die from lack of knowledge of the truth.  We die because we don't know our purpose.  Hence my friends,  you must know that you were made for a purpose and a reason.  In order to find out that reason God wants you to get to know who he is so that he can reveal your purpose to you.

You are important!

Seek the truth, keep growing in the truth, and you will find the answer.

I like the way Skip writes and explains the Hebrew word Logos and perhaps you can get a further understanding by reading his article:

"If logos is action with purpose, then God’s view of reality is about the purpose of all He creates.  It all serves some end.  As part of His creation, you and I also serve some end – or at least we are intended to do so.  In the beginning was active purpose.  That is still the character of all existence.  The only question for us is this:  what end do you serve?  What purpose were you created to do?  If you can’t answer that question, your life is aimless.  How will you hit the mark without understanding the purpose for which you were made?"

I also listen to Dr. Miles Munroe, who is the leader in visionary thinking and Kingdom concepts.  He passed away but an array of his knowledge can be found in his books, and recorded teachings.  Yes this video is over an hour long, but he did talk about God's "Expressed Purpose."

The bible is always my first reference and so here are some scriptures that the Holy spirit was showing me as I was writing.

John 1:1-5
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Hosea 4:6

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Genesis 1:1

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Go back and read this for yourself.  The more word you know in your heart, the easier it is for you to hear God's communication to you.  He will tell you what your purpose is.

Until Next Time
