Day 14/15

Day 14/15 "A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new." Albert Einstein

We shouldn't be afraid to make mistakes.  We should always be open to try new things.  We were made to grow.  Each and everyone of us have a underlying responsibility to grow in our purpose.  So how can we grow in our purpose?  We grow by following the word of God and finding out what God wants us to do in our lives.  God has a plan for each and everyone of us, we just have to follow his directions.

Trying something new might make you feel uncomfortable at first but we must understand that this is an emotion to embrace.

The following are some tips to help you explore that emotion:

1) Get out of your comfort zone:  Try something that you wouldn't normally try.  See how it goes.  Do not be afraid to have the emotion of uncertainty, especially if it is as simple as ordering the beef instead of the chicken when you go out to dinner.

2)Jump:  Don't think that you have to be so careful and calculating over every decision that you make in your life.  When you start understanding that God is in control ultimately, then you will start following your instinct instead of your reasoning mind.  You don't have to reason everything out.  Our God is a God of miracles and wonders.  Trust in the Lord that everything will turn out alright.

3)  Release the Fear:  Fear is not a bad emotion, but it is just an emotion that we should identify as a way our brain is calculating the best way to keep us safe.  The brain will rationalize and reason you into being compliant and complacent.  Fight against being safe when it comes to learning something new.  Start taking some risk.  Be interesting and fearless.  You can do it because God did not give you a spirit of fear but of power, love and sound mind.

Remember, don't be afraid to try new things.  Don't be afraid to make mistakes.  With out these experiences of failure we can never learn or grow.

Keep growing and moving forward in your journey to finding your purpose.

Until next time
