Freedom Friday: Who has my money?


A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.

Proverbs 13:22


I just wanted to post this real quick because every Friday I celebrate my separation from the worldly system.  I am not going to lie, it is a very hard thing to do.  Many people don't see what is really going on.  But I pray to God everyday not to let me go back to sleep.  

I had a friend send me You Tube video the other day about the fallacy of the prosperity message.  I am not going to show you that video today.  Yeah, there is a big problem with it if you are not interpreting it the right way.  The Holy Spirit has to give you the key.  There are people out there that have the key to prosperity.  There are those out there that have stole the keys to prosperity.  There are those out there that abuse the keys of prosperity.

Everything in this earth, and everything that dwells in this earth belongs to God and that is who I chose to follow all the days of my life.  This is the presence that I desire.  It is the Kingdom that I am a citizen of.  I know where my money is now it is up to me to go get it.

The problem with me saying that is that people will take offense to me talking about money the way that I do.  However, that is just because some people will never have it.  Why?  It is because they have the wrong money mindset.  Some people are really good at making money but they can't keep it.  Others are good at spending money.  While others are good at both making money and building wealth.  It is because they know the keys.  The know the secrets.  Some learn about the secrets while others have natural gifts to see the things others can't see about money.

I always found it interesting when I went to school that Dan Shellhaus always seemed to have a natural inclination for being smart.  It was almost like he didn't put much effort into it.  He always got straight A's because he knew how to study.  He knew how to take a test.  Me on the other hand, I could study study and study some more and never get as good a grade as Dan.  The same thing happened in band.  Dan was a clarinet player like me, but he always had first chair.  It didn't seem like he practiced much more then me, but he always sounded better!

Now, I could get annoyed by his unique talent at being good at everything or I could study him to see how he did it.  What were the  study habits that he formed?  What were the practice habits that allowed him to get 1st chair every year?  

I say that to say this:  Don't get made at someone because they are better at something then you.  It is just that they found their niche.  They found what they were good at.  Now it is time for you to find what you are good at.

You see, I understand that God gifted each and everyone of us with special gifts, talents and abilities to do a great work for the Kingdom.  The fact is that we need one another to make progress in the building up of the Kingdom.  If we keep attacking each other, then we will never be unified enough to win.  We will just keep fighting each other.  This does not make sense to me.

Biblically friends, he who hates his brother is without knowledge.  And if you don't have a clear understand of what hate means then you will be even more lost in that statement!  God made everything for a purpose, so each thing that you see is for a purpose.  The problem is that your perspective is distorted by sin.

Here goes the conclusion of this little rant of mine:  Seek ye first the Kingdom of Heaven and all of these things shall be added unto you. . . What does that mean exactly? Well only the Holy Spirit can explain it to you in terms that you can understand.  So, I encourage you to develop a personal relationship with the Lord and understand that we are all members of one body.  Each of us hold an answer, a key, and a clue to understanding this life.  Win souls for Christ and encourage one another.  Not murmuring or complaining.  Your energy can be used for better things then that!

Ok, so back to what I was saying before about money. . . Everybody's purpose is not to be rich, let us be clear on that.  But for those of you who have a natural inclination to be business minded and entrepreneurially tailored, here is the video for you.  Change your money mindset and be free from the bondage that this world wants to keep you in.

After watching this video I had a brain shift . . . I no longer am thinking about how I am going to make money . . . I'm thinking instead "Who has my money?"

I have a goal to set up an inheritance for my children, not in monetary prosperity, but in a freedom mindset.  This is what it is about: You are free!
Yes, it has cursing in it so . . . may not be for those who are easily offended.  Love you though!

Throwback Thursday: Thanks for Sharing Jump


Just wanted to give a huge Thank You for everyone who shared the Steve Harvey re-post earlier this week.  I appreciate all of my readers, visitors, friends, and loyal supporters.  I'm getting ready to work, so I pray that God gives you that mind also.  Work hard and you will achieve that dream.  I am just recording my journey so that you can have an easier go at it when it is your turn.

I did read this book last year and it was very good.  Steve talked about his journey, his failures, and his realization of his true talent of comedy.  He took us through his pain, his triumphs, and his success.  He broke down the hustle and the work ethic that it really takes to be successful.  No one said it was going to be easy.  But it will never be anything if you don't go for it! Are you ready to Jump?

Side Note: 

I do find it suspect that there is a movement about finding your purpose and following your dreams.  The bible says that you have given yourself the dream to dream and have told false prophets what it is that you want.  These false prophets then tell you what you are going to have based on what you have subconsciously desired.  I want to be clear that your dream may not be what God has for you. If you are more connected to the world and not to God, you will be very confused about what abundance means for you.  Having an abundant life doesn't mean working hard until the day you die, nor does it mean work your way to retirement. 

Abundance is not about being rich!  This is a worldly desire . . .

Abundance means living the life that God has purposed you to live and then receiving the blessings that he wants to give you.  Blessings are not necessarily monetary.  What you really desire is a relationship with your creator.  What you really desire is love, peace, happiness, patience, gentleness, kindness and self discipline.

Seek ye first the kingdom of heaven and all of these things shall be added unto you. . .


There is a time and a season for everything.  Plant your seed while you are young.  Do the work while you have the energy to do it.  Train your children up with the right attitude, work ethic, and morals to also manifest an abundant life.

I believe in you and I believe for you.

Live life for God and not for the world.

Wisdom for Wednesday: The Chinese Bamboo tree



Greetings and a very good evening,

I am writing this blog late in the evening but felt it is an important one to share. I find my self at the mercy of time.    I don't have much of it at this moment.  Went back to work substitute teaching as a side hustle.  It is taking up my time but thank goodness not as much as a full time teaching job . . .

I thank God for teaching me the value of time. Time is important for growth.

I just want to encourage you if you are on your journey to purpose and you find yourself being called back to your old life.  You tell yourself that you can handle it.  You tell your self that it will be different this time.  I have to tell you that the Lord says not to turn around and look back.  Don't go back to what the Lord brought you out of. . .

The thing is that I did come out of a world that was just using me to keep its system going.  It was using me and using me up.  For me, it was my job, it might be something else for you.  I am not about that life anymore and I'm not going back.  Get this, several people are telling me about an art teacher position available at my alma mater.  However, I'm out of that world and I am on a mission to please my Lord.

You can't serve two masters!


That is the wisdom for Wednesday . . . It just can't be done.  We already don't have enough time to live and grow; so it is very important to pick who you will serve.  I'm not saying that you don't need to work . . . yes you do.  However, you don't have to neglect your family, yourself, and your creativity to do it.  Don't let the world suck your energy dry.  Let God nurture you during your time of growth.  Let the Lord give you a strong foundation and strong roots to hold up the weight that you were designed to carry.

I do have my moments . . . but it is detrimental to doubt

The only problem that I am having now on my journey is the need for money.  I think I do miss it a little bit.  This is why it is such an enticing offer to go back into the school system.  But then I remember the Lord's promises to me and I decide to stick with him.  This will happen to you as well.  You will always get that call to go back into the world, but it is a lie.  Keep on the path and keep following the vision that God has given you.  You can't see it, but he is preparing something special just for you.  Remember this also; you will never get any plant to grow if you keep digging it up to check it's growth!  Trust the plan.  Trust the Lord and don't listen to everyone else's opinions about where you are supposed to be!

Although nothing is happening right now with the business part of my transition, I know that it will happen eventually.  I know that if I keep planting good seed, if I keep watering that seed, and if I keep nurturing that seed, something will grow.  I'm waiting and trusting in the Lord:

Wait and trust in the Lord.  He made you a promise and he always keeps his promises . . .


I am reminded of the Chinese Bamboo tree that I wrote about in my book, "Transition Into Life."  I have heard the story in many motivational speeches.  If you haven't heard about it, here is an excerpt from my book:



 
From Transition Into Life:

I remember listening to Les Brown always telling the story about the bamboo tree that took 15 years before it started to show any signs of growth. The special thing about this bamboo was that for 15 years, there would be no sign of growth, but the person growing it would have to believe that if he watered it everyday, that one day in that fifteenth year it would tower beyond his expectations.

I thought the story was so fantastic that I decided to look it up and research this amazing bamboo tree. I found nothing about a tree that you had to water for 15 years, but I did find some information of the Chinese Bamboo tree.

This awesome tree, which came from a little seed, needed to be planted in a rich soil, in the right environment, in the right climate, at the right time. It then had to be cared for and watered everyday. After the first year nothing would happen. The same result of a vacant dirt bed would plague any unwitting person passing by. The ground still yielding no proof in year 2, 3, or 4 of the seed that lay growing a strong foundation beneath the soil. The farmer, he knew.  He was the one who planted the seed in its place, he knew and waited patiently.  He continued to water it everyday because he knew that one day in the 5th year, the bamboo tree would shoot up to be over 80 feet tall in the period of five weeks!

Here is the point to that story; your growth is inevitable because God designed you to grow. The thing is no one but God knows your growth plan. No one has the right to say where you are going or where you are going to end up. God is preparing your strength for whatever he has planned for you to endure. Some people understand this and some don’t. Some people will learn this, others never will.

Put yourself in the right environment and the right climate to grow. For everything there is a time. Your time is now!


Don't go back into a system that was not designed for you.  Your father is calling you to something better.  He sees you on your way back home and he is preparing a big party for you.
Give it time, it's going to happen.

Motivation for Monday: God is on your side




Good Morning,

I pray that you are having a wonderful morning thus far.  I pray that you are uplifted and ready to have a productive week.  I want to ask you if you are prepared for your week?  You know, do you have a plan of what you want to accomplish during your week?  Do you have any goals written down; personal, business, or otherwise?  And if not, how do you know when you get to the end of your week if you had a good one? How do you measure your productivity?

What do you want to accomplish?


This is the same idea that I apply to my life.  I ask my self . . What do I want to accomplish in my life?  What do I want my life to look like as I approach the end?  When it is all over, what do I want people to say about me?

This is why I write down my goals.  This is why I look at them often so that I can measure my progress.  I want to know that I am doing the right thing to get to where I want to go.

Now, my goals are different from your goals, his goals, and her goals.  This is the way it is supposed to be.  We are each individuals with different thoughts and different talents to be the individual influencers that God has designed us to be.  Not one of us are exactly the same.  Not even identical twins have the same finger prints.  We were each made to stand out!

With that said, we all have different aspirations, dreams, and ideas of what success looks like.  We may even have different paths to get there, but we each have a responsibility to know where we are going for our final destination.

You are responsible to know where you want to go.


The main reason why I am living is to get to heaven. This should be our ultimate goal and the motive for why we live this life.  I want to enter into the eternal life with my Lord, savior, and King in Heaven. This is my main goal.  This is the reason why I do the things I do, say the things I say, and write the things I write.  I want you to go too! 

I have even more exciting news for you which is your motivation for this Monday:


God wants you to spend eternity with him and so he will make every opportunity for you to get there.  You just have to trust his lead!


God is on your side!!!


It is true, God wants you.  It kind of reminds me of the Uncle Same picture pointing at you saying "I want you."  I don't know if people are aware of how much God loves them.  God wants you to find the way to him through his son Jesus Christ.  He even gave us an instruction manual on how to get to heaven.  It's called the bible: Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth!




In it you will find inspiration, motivation, biographies and auto biographies of people on the same journey.  It will give you directions and goal setting ideas.  It will give you timeless advice on how to complete this journey.  It will also give you the reasons why to start your journey and train you in the discipline that you need to finish this journey. It even gives you a personal mentor to help you along . . .

Do you know where you are going in life?  Are you setting goals to know how to get there?  Do you know how to set goals?  Do you know what goals to set?

I encourage you to adopt God's plan for your life.  I encourage you to start setting goals, by reading the word of God.  Believe and understand that God is for you, and if he is for you; who can be against you?

Remember to live this life with the purpose that God has written for you.  I pray that you have a productive life!

Throw back Thursday: Pray for your future

I have been meditating on this verse recently:

Be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

and the peace of God which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Phillippians 4:6-7



I looked up the NIV:

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.


Reviewing, meditating, praying over, and reading scripture is how I ask God for new revelations.  It is not that the word is changing, but our understanding of what it all means. Several things that the Lord has revealed to me about his way, but one that I need to share with you right now:

Pray in the future /for the future like it is happening right now.


This is to say, that we are not worrying about what is going to happen but instead we pray with expectancy.  We pray with thoughts of the best possible outcome, and then we can see the prayers we need to pray to support that outcome.  We pray to prepare the way and the path God needs us to go . . .

This is not an easy concept to explain, but if we pray with the joy and happiness that things have already worked out, then our spiritual eyesight and perspective will change to what we really need to pray for.  There are billions of things that we should be praying for but it seems like we say the same prayers over and over.


Pray for all things and let us get off of the megaphones repeating the same prayers over and over. 

God wants you to ask for the promises that he has already written for you.  He wants to give them to you.  He wants you to ask for them.  You may not see them now, but you will see the manifestation of them if you pray for them.  The praying is for you! To open your mind to the possibilities of the future.  Prayer is for you! 

You often don't get what you want because you ask for things that are not in your destiny.  We often get things we want because we get them by our own merits.  We will things into existence, but that takes up a lot of time if it is not what God wants for you. It also waste a lot of time. We are always very busy, but we  fail to complete the Lord's work.  I say this to make this point:  Read your bible and develop your relationship with the Lord so that you can know what you should be praying for . . .


Let us rejoice in the goodness of the Lord, knowing that our good prayers have been answered.  Let us continuously thank him for those prayers answered that we never recognized; for that cancer that you never saw, for that blessing of a twenty year friendship, from that car accident that you did not get into, for that job you did not get, and for that house you did not buy.  Let us thank him for the children that are healthy, the peace in our houses, and the maintenance that we do not have to do on our cars.  Let us be thankful for all the things that we take for granted.  Thank you Lord

Pray in the morning for the rest of your day.  Pray with the expectancy of blessings and peace.  Be thankful unto the Lord and bless his name.  He will give you peace that surpasses all understanding.

Pray for your year, that it will be the ushering in of so many good things that your cup runneth over.

Pray for your children. Pray for their success and their relationship with God. Pray for their spouses before they even get married. Pray for your grandchildren and their grandchildren.  May your family be blessed generation after generation.

Pray that your business will prosper.  Pray that when it does, it is covered from all angles.  Pray that God gives you the prayers to pray to protect it.


I can go on in on about how to pray for your future.  Understand that we are in time, but our God does not operate in time.  What you pray for now, he will take care of right now.  The curses that you rebuke from words spoken against your family in the past, God will reach back in the time line, grab them and destroy them.  We are free!  Know this, believe it, know the power of prayer.

Don't worry about tomorrow, and stop praying out of worry.

We thank him for all that he has done and all that he is doing for us . . .

We rejoice in the goodness that the Lord wants for us.  Rejoice, I say Rejoice!

Motivation for Monday: Follow God's Plan Everyday



Good Monday Morning to all those who love Mondays and to those who think Mondays are the worst!

Either way it is a wonderful new day with brand new mercies and blessings for us to enjoy.  Why do I seem so chipper today? . . .  Well, I just filled up on the word of God.  This was something that I was not able to do this weekend because it was so busy, busy, busy!

We all get this way sometimes. We almost get too busy to think!  This Resurrection Weekend was the busiest and it was quite stressful.  Saturday was a pretty bad day for me because I was frustrated that things were not going my way.  I just wasn't in a good mood.  I had a lot of attitude and did a lot of yelling!

Why did that happen?  


I was so busy that I did not properly pray my day through.  This is what I usually do in the morning.  I usually have a morning meeting with the Lord.  I pray my day through and I plan my day according to what God needs me to do.  On this past Saturday, I was so concerned with what I wanted to do, that I was ignoring what God needed me to do.  Therefore, I was all emptied out by about 2pm, but I kept trying to push through and complete all the tasks that I wanted to complete:

Decorating eggs

practice the skit

Candy bags for kids

Organize presentations for the kids

Easter outfits

Get the girls hair done

Drive girls to Birthday party . . .




So on and so forth!  Busy mom's know what I am talking about . . .however I was wrong and I thank God for allowing me to have this blog as an outlet that helps me reflect on my mistakes.  It also helps me celebrate my Victories.  Sunday was an awesome day . . . I told my self not to over do it.  I listened to the things that God wanted me to do.  I asked him what were the important tasks that I needed to finish.  I planned it out from there.  The thing is, if I had allowed everything that happened on Saturday ruin my Sunday, I would still be in bad shape today.

Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is God's purpose that will prevail.

Proverbs 19:21

(This is the word that is sown in my heart)

(There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand. KJV Proverbs 19:21)



Was I late to church? Yes, technically,  but there were some important things that God needed me to do.  There were somethings that he wanted me to prioritize.  Hence, there were somethings that needed to get canceled and I was ok with that.  We can't always make it to every event, or do all the things that we want to do in our minds.  Our physical limitations won't allow us to be everything to everybody.  We have to take the time to be filled up with God's love, so that people are blessed by our overflow.

I do have some motivation for you today.  Something that the Lord wants you to know:

Don't ruin a good day because of a bad yesterday!


God wants to bless us everyday.  He wants to spend time with us and direct our path everyday.  We will find peace, happiness, and joy if we follow his lead . . .

Don't worry about a thing . .  not about yesterday or about tomorrow.  God will work it out.  This doesn't mean that we chose to be lazy, NO!  But what it means is that we trust in the Lord for the promises that he has made to us.  We continue to work towards those things by faith, by doing what is necessary to obtain the promise.  We listen closely to the words of the Lord and we get closer to it, step by step, and day by day.

And so, after he had patiently endured,

he obtained the promise.

Hebrews 6:15


God is awesome and he made you, so that means you are awesome as well . . . I wanted to share some pictures with you before I go.













So, although I had to cancel somethings we were able to do an egg show and it turned out pretty ok.  I was also able to visit with my mom, and my sister and have a beautiful family dinner with my in-laws . . . Everything worked out.  Have a blessed Monday and enjoy all the blessings that the Lord has for you.
