I want to offer you peace over your day today. Sending good vibes and an apology.
I have come to realize that I have many faults and one of those faults is failing to correctly communicate with you the amount of love God has for you.
I don't want to shout, or demand your repentance; I just wish to convey to you that I love you very much. This love comes from the creator. The creator has given me a job to do and I am still in training on exactly how to do that job. I want to encourage you this morning and assure you that everything is going to work out for your good.
It is part of my job to motivate you to live your life to the fullest. However, I think that many people have the wrong idea about what that really means. Yes, you have a purpose, yes you have a destiny, and yes you have a choice to live your life the best way you know how. The flaw, however, is thinking that your way to live your life is the right way.
Now, reread that previous paragraph and it all sounds pretty confusing. It may even sound a little condemning. You may ask yourself, "how can she say that I have a destiny to fulfill and a right to fulfill it, but then say that I should not trust my self to make the right decisions for my life?"
I know, sometimes it is too much . . .
A lot of us don't want to hear that Jesus loves us, or that God created us, because then that would mean that there is a higher authority then just ourselves. Many of us don't want to answer or submit to someone who can have control over our lives. Hence, I can see how many view Christianity as a controlling religion. For this I apologize.
Why are those Christians so persistent?!
I am a Christian, and I am persistent because I have come to know the truth about our creator. Basically, he is real. God is now showing me how arrogant that may sound to people. This puts people off, this pushes them away from Christ instead of drawing them near.
I Don't want to hear about Jesus!!
This statement really translates to: " I don't want to be controlled by anything, I just want to live my life"
The thing is, I don't judge you on that thought. I no longer put you in a box of "unbeliever" and just forget about you. I used to feel the same way when my mom used to talk about Jesus. I was just trying to share with her some real problems that I was having; I wanted to talk it out, and she wanted to pray. It made me feel uncomfortable, skirmish even. God told me not to forget that feeling.
Today, I love the Lord, and so I spend time with him. This relationship that I am building with the Lord doesn't feel anything like mind control, or religious duty, or extreme limitations on living. I write this blog because I enjoy it. It is worth spreading the word of God so that people can realize that there is a better life then the one we are living now. There is a better way.
The reason why our world is the way that it is today, is because of the way that we think as a people. We all want to have control over our own lives because we are convinced that we know best. However, we only prove that we don't make the right decisions, that we make a lot of wrong choices, all of the time. We have regrets, and then we learn from our mistakes, and we try to do better, but our better is never good enough. Not really . . .
Do not be confused by this, this is what we are supposed to be doing! We are supposed to live and we are supposed to learn. We are supposed to fail, hurt, and remember. We are supposed to learn from our mistakes. We are supposed to change our minds about what we do wrong everyday. We are supposed to feel the feelings that we feel, identify them, and move on. This is growth. This is living. . .
Wouldn't it make sense that an older, wiser mentor would be there to help us through all the things that we did wrong. Wouldn't it be more convenient to us to listen to that mentor so that we can avoid the things that will hurt us or hurt others. This is not control, this is love.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotton son, that whosoever believe on him, shall not perish but have everlasting life . . .
I accept this promise of everlasting life and I thank my creator everyday for the opportunity to live a happy life.
God didn't send Jesus to condemn the world, to point the finger, or
to make you feel worse then you already do. God sent his son so that,
through him, you can have an everlasting life. Your creator doesn't
want you to be lost forever, longing to be with him.
This
is really what you desire . . . you are desiring a relationship with
your creator. What you do not desire is a relationship of control . . .
I am here to tell you that that is not what God is about. God is a
giving God. He is a God of love and compassion.
I apologize if you have ever felt hurt by the church, by a church member, or by a Christian trying to do a work for God but instead offends you. The Lord said this will happen, but it hurts him deeply that we all are hurting the way we are in this world. No one is addressing the real problems. We just keep suppressing our feelings and trying to live "normal." This is not living. God wants you to live a more fulfilling life with him.
He loves you, so here is the motivation for this Monday:
Live your life to the
fullest. You have a purpose, yes you have a
destiny, and yes you have a choice to live your life the best way you
know how. Let your creator show you how because he wants you to succeed at this life and in the next!
If God be for you, who can be against you? Live your Life on Purpose.
You can do this, you can live this life! You are not alone. Jesus is with you every step of the way. He is walking with you through every trouble and every trial. Sometimes it may not feel like it but you have to keep telling yourself:
He will never leave me nor forsake me
This is a promise from our God, so stay motivated. Keep watching inspirational videos, keep reading your word, keep listening to the word of God. It is good food for your spirit and this nourishment will manifest in your life!

Hello all, wanted to share another excerpt from my book: Transitions Into Life . . .
These are just notes really and may or may not be displayed in the book like this.
I really am observing our behavior in this world. Why we act the way we act and do the things that we do. It is amazing that the Lord has every example about our condition in the good book. I implore you to read the bible, it is such a good read!
How do you Feel?
I am going to be perfectly honest with you, I feel cheated. Life is not fair. I feel like someone has given me the short end of the stick. So, I often take up my issues with the head honcho upstairs.
“Lord what is going on!?”
You see, I know something is not right because I believe the word of God. So, when I read comparisons of the righteous and the fools in proverbs, I notice my life is reflecting the consequences of the foolish. Let us please stop lying to ourselves. God has something better for us. Let us begin to be even more diligent in the word of God, rightly dividing it, and gaining wisdom from it. Let us receive the correction of the Lord and stop making the same mistakes over and over again. Let us learn how to gain our wealth so that we can help more people. My bible says right there in proverbs that the blessing of the Lord maketh rich, with no sorrow to it. I am ready to change my money mindset. I am ready to change my whole mind about this life. I am ready for my next transition in thinking.

Lesson to learn: We have to develop our relationship with the Lord so that he can show us the right way to develop a relationship with everything else. Otherwise we stay lost. Otherwise we will have to learn things the hard way. It’s simply called experience. I want a little less experience and a little more happy by following in the ways of the Lord.
God wants to teach us the right way to use our inheritance.

Bible study:
Luke Chapter 15:11-24 of the book of Luke talks about the prodigal son. The youngest of two sons asked his father for his inheritance. This son had all he needed at his father’s estate, but instead decided to journey into a far country where he spent all his money frivolously. He found himself in a pretty tough situation where he then had to find a job that was obviously beneath him. This job didn’t even manage to sustain his basic living needs and there was no one who offered him help to live life.
Realizing his mistake, and his faulty spending habits, the son finally talked himself into going back to his father to ask forgiveness for his wasteful living.
I will go back to my father and will say unto him, Father I have sinned against heaven and before thee, And I am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of your hired servants. Luke 15:18-19
Finally, the son returned but before he could give his big apology speech the father saw him coming down the road, returning home after being lost in an unknown country. The father decide to throw a party to welcome his son back. He was happy that he returned safe and saw no unworthiness on him.
Lesson to learn: We are all prodigals. We are living in a country that is not our own. Everything in this world is vanity and it will fade away. When we are not fully aware of who we are, we are being used and used up by the citizens of this unknown country. We will die here if we don’t wake up and realize who our father is.
We are servants of God and there for our finances should be available to him. But more than that, we are heirs and our father wants us to return home. Our finances are not for the pursuit of our personal happiness here on this earth. We must first seek the kingdom and its righteousness and everything else will be added to us. We must be responsible with what God has given us. Read Luke chapter 15 and 16 for yourself and gain insight on who you are and what your relationship should be with money.

All that I am offering to you as you read this is the truth . . . it is your choice to believe it or to remain sleep.
Do you realize that you are being programed. I mean really? You are conditioned to do exactly what you are supposed to be doing. You are being conditioned by the world government. This demonic spiritual government wants to take your inheritance . . .
I have been talking about this for a year now, I'm really trying not to hold anything back. You have been trained by the public school system, by television, and by your job on how to be compliant and how to do what you are told. You sir, and you maam are very predictable. You are doing exactly what you are programmed to do.
It is time to wake up.
You know what they would call me if I lived in the movie world . . I am what you call a "Divergent," I don't fit into any group that society has written out. I am going against the program. I am not doing what I am supposed to be doing . . . I am not predictable!
And if I believed what the movies told me about going against the program, I may think that I am the cause of the collapse of society as we know it. Hence, I would be the blame for the lack, the famine, the destruction and the overwhelming stink of death that is soon to come. Well, that is at least what "they" want you to think.
The subject matter of Divergent, makes me think of another movie. . . you know the one where the group of people have these special powers. These people are marked as dangerous to society. They then become outcast because they are the blame for supernatural battles and physical destruction of cities. You know these "mutant" people who are just trying to be treated fairly, have equal rights, and have people see them as "normal," or even just "human." Well, this pretty much sounds like every other Marvel or D.C. comic, but I'm referring to, you guessed it: "X Men"
Do you see the parallel? God's chosen people will be the outcast, the problem, the scapegoat for the collapse of society. I am going to bring that last Wolverine movie in right here entitle "Logan" because it blew my mind how obvious they were with trying to mock Christ. Especially at the end when the "fake" Wolverine (the false Christ who represents the anti-christ) kills the real Wolverine, by beating him to a bloody pulp then piercing him with a tree branch. So, once Christ is dead (Wolverine), the daughter of Wolverine and her friends (coincidentally represented by all different nationalities, but still all mutants) kill the Anti-Christ (Fake Wolverine) by shooting him in the head. Then these children escape into the wilderness looking for the land that they will be safe in (The Promised Land!). Guess how many children . . . you guessed it 12 . . . At least I counted 12 tribes of Israel , , , hmmm. Logan, who Laura finally acknowledges as her father, has sacrificed himself for the love of his child . . .
Also, the camera pans out at the very end to see the cross on the grave. Laura takes the cross and turns it side ways which represents several things:
#1 Christ carrying the cross on his shoulders and experiencing tremendous suffering
#2 A person who is aware of their place in the world
#3 The planet earth which is the place where life is to be lived
#4 The place where humanity lives, between heaven and hell
All Lies!!!
This pretty much sounds like a threat to me. Look Devil, I know who I am and where I come from and I am not afraid of you. People of the world understand that there is a second covenant, the new covenant. Christ didn't only die for his chosen people, he died so you can be adopted into the Kingdom family. The enemy is conditioning lies into your mind.
The truth is:
#1 Christ already died for our salvation and he doesn't have to do it again
#2 You have no place in this world because this earth is not your home
#3 Death is an illusion- the enemy is not in charge of it- in death, there is life
#4 We are heirs, this is not living, wake up

I don't really care if I am losing credibility here. I just see it how I see it and it is blowing my mind that more people are not aware of this programing. The world is being programmed to turn against Christians when they start experiencing the true power of Jesus Christ. Jesus said that we will do greater things then he did when his Kingdom comes to earth. Guess what? It is here, so get ready for the miracles!
See, you don't hear about it now . . . because our media is not meant to inform you, the American media is meant to program you . . . Why do you think it is called a tv program?

Congratulations, you have worked your whole life to get to the point where you will work your whole life . . .
Seriously, I was watching "The Bee Movie," the other day with the kids, a movie that I had watched a few times before, but this time I was getting a lot of feed back in my spiritual ear! I can't believe that I missed it before . .
The main bee, played by Jerry Seinfeld, was disgusted when he found out the real fate of his life:
"So, you will just work us to death?!"
Later his bee parents respond to his discovery in their matter of fact "Yes" why would you expect anything else, tone . . .
Refusing to accept this fate, he ventures out of the hive to find a better, more fulfilling way of life, just to meet a mosquito, played by Chris Rock, who, during a conversation about survival, yells out something to the fact "How clean does it have to be in order for you to see . . .Why don't you people wake up. . . put your head outside of a window or something!"
Now mind you, I'm a mom of three at home, so you know my full attention was not on the movie because I was cooking, and cleaning the kitchen, but I stopped the movie frantically and told my kids to listen to what they were saying . . .
My speech:
"You guys have to see what this is! This is an allegory of human society being taken over by the powers that be, the fallen angels,(Satan's kingdom) who want to enslave us for their own desires. They have us enslaved now, using our gifts and talents for their own personal gain. We are trapped in a system that works us to death and we don't get the benefit of our own labor . . . It is getting worse and worse and the only way to get out of this is to realize who we are and take back our rights in the Kingdom court room!!"
Then my kids look at me, mouths open in unbelief. They tell me that I am over reacting and once again have tied entertainment to the bible and the unveiling of the antichrist plan to rule the world.
Then I point out that the movie addresses the fact that once someone wakes up and tries to warn everyone what is really going on, no one ever believes him, they just think that he's crazy . . .
Guess what guys, I'm not crazy . . .
WAKE UP
So, yes, I watch a lot of movies. Maybe this is why God wants me to write this blog . . . Do you see the same things that I am seeing?
The Hunger Games are real . . . the 12 camps represent the twelve tribes of Israel, the hidden 13th camp represents Manasseh. The capital city represents the elite who accept the way that the rest of the societies are separated and worked to death because it sustains and guarantees their way of life. The rebellion in the movie is the up coming revolution that will inevitably happen in this world because of the people refusing to live in these type of conditions any longer . . .
The French Revolution anyone? The American Revolution? The mindsets of the elite anyone? Let them eat cake? Really? Real Housewives of New York anyone? Venezuela anyone? North Korea anyone? I am not telling you this to get you nervous, upset, or worried. Stay Calm, trust God, but start working for the God's Kingdom and not the World's Kingdom!

We find ourselves once again fighting for freedom. Searching for something better, but most of us don't know the truth in what we should be fighting for.
Here goes this crazy conspiracy Lady drinking that crazy punch again!!
This is not far reaching . . it has happened before. The conditions of America today are the same as every catalyst of revolutions in history. The idea that enough is enough . . except this time we will not settle for another false government . . . We will refuse the one world government that "they" are trying to program us to take . . . We want the Kingdom government, We want Jesus!!
We want the prince of peace, our king, the wonderful counselor
And the government will rest upon his shoulders.
Our Christian culture threatens the enemy's Kingdom, don't be afraid of this, stand up and fight.

Remember this dialog?

Yes, it is the Matrix . . . my friends another movie that depicts our enslavement in a system that is not meant for our benefit. The above are words from Morpheus who tries to explain to Neo his choice, his truth in a world of lies. . .
Morpheus goes on to explain:
"The matrix is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work, when you go to church, when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth."
"What truth?" asks Neo.
"That you are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else you were born into bondage, born into a prison that you cannot smell or taste or touch. A prison for your mind. . .
Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Matrix is. You have to see it for yourself. . .
This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. . .
You take the blue pill. The story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe…whatever you want to believe. . . You take the red pill. You stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.

What are you going to do?
Are you going to take the blue pill or the red pill?
You have a choice to make, you can either stay asleep in the world that you are used to. . . in a world that is false and doesn't benefit you or . . . you can wake up to the real world and know the truth of who you really are. You have a choice to live the life you are supposed to live because you were chosen to live, even before this world began. You were chosen.
Before I get into scripture to show you how the Holy bible tells you everything that is going on, there are a few more movies I want to share with you:

So I explained the first five right, but not everyone is there yet because most of us probably think that this is just about the government lying to the people. We don't fully understand that this is a supernatural deception that the enemy, Lucifer, has played on us since the fall of man. Many of us are still in empty debates about which religion is best . . . Hello!! religion is just another deception . . . another play on your emotions and your innate drive of wanting authority over something. This whole thing is really a tale of two kingdoms, the kingdom of darkness and the Kingdom of light . . . Which brings me to "Star Wars."
6-Star Wars
We have the Sith fighting for the dark side and we have the Jedi's who fight for the good side right? To which both sides derives it's power from something called the Force. However in the movies it always seems that the dark side has the upper hand. Why is this? It is a program to make you believe that there is a side that is stronger . . .
All lies, let me explain why.
Yoda tells Luke, as he ponders on the same issue of the strength of the Sith. . .
Luke: . . . Is the dark side stronger?
Yoda: No, no, no. Quicker, easier, more seductive.
Here we go, catch this because it is biblical . . .
The Force represents the power from which all other power is derived, this is what most monotheistic religions consider to be God. Yes there is dark power, "evil" (ignorance) that is only created for the purpose to reinforce the authority of the light (knowledge). Each individual either can chose the quick and easy way to obtain power or he can endure the necessary process of growth to obtain true knowledge of the light through revelation (precept upon precept). The light has power and authority. Hence, the lie is the "V.S" part. There is no such thing as good vs. evil. Evil is not the opposite of good. Evil is just the necessary justification for good. Evil (darkness or ignorance) will only prove the truth of good and therefore it's purpose will turn out to support good (truth) and therefor it's purpose is also good and good (truth, light) will always win.
Everything works out for the good!
Furthermore, the movie is conditioning people subconsciously to pick the easy way . . easy money, easy life, easy power; but it is all a false world of authority. The Force will always have the authority, no matter how much the dark side tries to convince you otherwise.
Translation: God is Lucifer's boss . . . So why are we afraid of the devil?

You are in a world that you are not meant to be in. You are confused about what is reality and what is not reality. You have a mission but you are not sure what it is. You have an enemy but you are not sure who it is. You were chosen but your not sure for what. You have guides but your not sure who to trust . . . You are not sure where you are supposed to go or how you are supposed to get there. Still you are supposed to save the world. . . you are Alice in Wonderland!
Who do you elect to represent you? Who are you meeting with? Who do you chose as your King?
WAKE UP
8-Wizard of Oz
Again, another metaphor of you being in an alternate universe trying to find your way home. You placed your fate in the hands of some great, all powerful wizard pretending to be the Great and power God. But he is a false green god. Still we all want something from him: Heart (love and acceptance), A brain (advancement in knowledge), Courage (power and authority), Home (a place to belong and be happy).
We chase these things and we never get them. Instead we settle for the fake shadow of these things that will never make us satisfied: Sex, education, titles, and the pursuit of happiness . However, sex will not bring you love and higher education does not bring you wisdom, titles don't bring you authority and earth is not your home. There is no place like your real home. There is no place like the love of Jesus, the authority of his power, the wisdom of his truth, and the belonging of his Kingdom. That green god cannot give you these things; money can not give you these things . . . that false so called all powerful green wizard is a fake and a phony, he is only offering you fake hope.
But we still all follow that same golden road don't we? We are being chased by enemies leading us to the greater enemy, thinking that we are getting somewhere. oh, so much, so much here!!
If there ever was a movie that jammed packed the symbolism to the brim it is this one!! More then I actually wish to go into because it includes so many of the players in this chaotic world of dysfunction and lies.
But briefly, you are Frodo; chosen to carry your cross. Chosen to go through a tedious journey to overcome the desire to obtain a self serving power that will only destroy the world as you know it. You are on a journey that will test your heart at every turn. A journey that Christ will lead you by calling you to the task (Gandalf the Gray represents Christ). A journey that Christ died for and was resurrected (Gandalf the white). A journey that you were chosen to take in order for the rightful king to take his place on the kingdom throne (Aragorn). A journey where the Holy Spirit (Sam) will be with you and not leave you, but will be there to encourage you every step of the way.
Did you know that you were royalty? Of course you didn't because you were thrown out of the Kingdom and convinced you were just common, like everyone else. You must be informed that you are sons and daughters of the most high King. You have an inheritance to claim so you must make your way back into the kingdom, retrieve the only weapon that will defeat your enemy who has deceitfully taken your place. Your weapon is that sword (The Bible), to which you and you alone can unlock the secrets to its power and authority. You are the only one that can pull the sword from the stone!!
Found another lie . . . the enemy would have you believe that he is royalty by making you think that he is Jesus's brother or equal to God. This is not true and a conditioning that he presents to you so that you think that he has as much authority as you. Nope, he does not have authority in this earth, to which he is prisoner, because he could never use that authority that he stole during the fall of man. He could only operate through man by lying to us and making us do his bidding.
Lucifer, Satan, the falling star, the deceiver, the prince of the air, that great lying serpent, the devil; did not accept his place in the Kingdom. His pride overtook him when he learned of God's plan for man. So, our adversary, the Devil, got kicked out of heaven. He fell to this earth, trying to claim it for his own, but God told him he couldn't have this earth.
God said let us make man in our image and give him dominion.
This means that God gave us power and authority in this earth.
So, the devil is mad. He has no place to be and he cannot go back to
heaven. God is preparing a place for Satan, and it is called hell.
Satan knows his fate because the judgement has already taken place.
Hell was not made for us, but Jesus went to prepare a place for us. We have time to get our minds right because we have not yet entered the judgement of mankind. . . We
can finish our preparation for eternity in heaven, but we have to acknowledge who God is now. We have to acknowledge the gift that he gave us in his son Jesus Christ.
Do you know Jesus?
We only remain under this curse if we continue to live the old life. Jesus came, he died so that he could gain access into the underworld . . . he grabbed the key, (the authority) from Satan so that we would have access to our inheritance once again. All we have to do is accept the gift that Jesus (God in Human form) gave us.
We don't have to be enslaved anymore! We can get our minds out of bondage!! We just have to believe in Jesus and he will unlock the mysteries of the universe to us.
Draw close to him and he will draw close to you . . .

9Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.

The enemy is trying to keep you from seeing the truth. Wicked counsels come up with these programs to condition your mind away from the promise of God. They desensitize you and make you believe that it is all science fiction. This is not fiction, this is reality, this is happening!!!

Pretty soon, it will be time to close the books for the secrets are locked in Zion. The enemy is trying to find out information from us, but the secrets are not for this world, the secrets belong to the people of God. Don't be trapped here with Satan. What you need to know is that Jesus loves you. Accept the gift of salvation to receive the promise of eternal life with your creator. Believe the unbelievable. This is just too much evidence to be coincidental. I'm not saying that the complete story line of these movies are truth . . Not at all!, Instead, you need to read the word of God, develop a relationship with him so that he can reveal the truth to you . . .

I hope that everyone is aware about what is going on. I love each and everyone of you and I want people to wake up from this bondage that the adversary has placed us in. I am trying to open your eyes to the truth . . . I'm sharing this again because I think it is very important to start making these connections.
I don't know if I shared this particular song with you last year, but if you read my blog you know I love music. I am an artist and I appreciate and respect how other artist share their vision. I have always been a fan of Lauren Hill. I remember when I was in High-school, I did a report on the "Mis-Education of Lauren Hill" album. I was so enamored with knowledge. I remember our track team rocking to the beat of "Lost Ones" after winning a home meet, not fully realizing the fullness of its message. However, I felt the wisdom pouring into my soul.
This is deeper then what you could have ever imagined . . . This is happening!

I read books relative to finding my purpose. I want to gain a better understanding of what I am supposed to be doing in this life. This is why I read and I study about the purpose that God has written for me. What is my destiny? Why am I here on this earth?
Day by day it is my mission to know what I am supposed to be doing with my life. First step I know is developing my relationship with the Lord. I thank God for his guidance in my spiritual journey and my spiritual growth. Second step is helping others. I know that it is part of my purpose to get people started on their journey to find purpose. Third step is identifying and understanding the vision. Once we know that we are made for something bigger, God will give us a vision for our life. The vision at first is only a glimpse of the future, of the possibilities available in our lives. When we start to get clear on the vision, we have a better idea of what we are supposed to be doing day by day on purpose.
I have told you before that I am reading this book Visioneering by Andy Stanley and I want to share with you some quotes from the book that just might change your life!
It is so very important to be in the right environment in order for your vision to be nurtured and grow into maturity. Some of us don’t know what to do or where to go in order for our vision to come into fruition. It is hard to find like minds that will help support your vision. This is why I think it is so good to read books that can grow your understanding in subjects that you are not clear on.
I know that God has given me a vision, but I wasn’t too sure on what it all meant . . .Visioneering is a great outline of what a vision is, how one should work towards it, and the obstacles that will and must come on your journey to achieve it.
I am so glad that I read it and I will continue to study it . . .
So what is vision?
Briefly, a vision is something that God places in your heart to achieve after he has given you a picture of what it will look like in the future. It is something that uses your gifts and abilities to further the Kingdom of God. Vision is when you have the desire to complete an assignment that God has placed in your heart to do. You may not know how it is going to happen exactly, but you are now tied to it. You may not have all the details, but you are answering a call to the importance of what you see in the future. You feel a pull towards it that doesn’t just fade away. Your vision then becomes even more real than your current reality!
If you didn’t know, I am the art teacher for purpose who writes, creates, and promotes content that will help you find your purpose in life. It is now my life’s mission to connect you to the Lord and the necessary information to help you find your purpose in this life. When you find your true purpose, you find your place in God’s Kingdom, you will find the work that you are supposed to do for the building up of his kingdom.
Therefore, I present to you some things that stood out in this book that will help you on your journey to find your purpose. Perhaps you won’t read the book this year or next year, but I want to get you started on understanding the purpose of your vision and the importance of knowing your purpose.

And that is mostly what I got out of the book about finding and following your vision. This was a really good book and I do recommend it. It follows the story of Nehemiah and outlines what it really means to have a vision from God. This is a book that you need in order to prepare you for the Kingdom.

Being a mom is hard work. It is a huge responsibility and it is not easy . . . especially trying to be a mom and an entrepreneur. I'm trying to start a ministry and I'm learning how to take care of myself . . . It is hard having a full time job, but try having 2 or 3 or 4 or more!!!
I am fully convinced that being a mom is a super power that comes from the Lord!

It’s January, and I don’t know about you, but I am still kind-of riding the high of all those New Year’s resolutions. This year my BIG goal is to be in the best shape of my life by my 40th birthday, which is now less than 3 months away, and let me just tell you… I have my work cut out for me!
But I’ve been running and doing strength training, eating right and tracking my calories and drinking water and cutting out all the things I love like Doritos and beer. I signed up to run a 10K on my birthday, and my team and I have been holding daily FitBit challenges to see who can get the most steps. In other words? I’m doing ALL THE THINGS.
And it feels pretty good. (Except for when I start craving Doritos!)
But the reality is that there’s a dark side to all this productivity and goal-setting stuff too, one that us moms don’t always talk about, but one that lurks around every corner of achievement in our lives.
Do you know what it is?
It’s mom guilt.
That feeling that we are doing something wrong or neglecting our family or somehow damaging our children anytime we pursue one of our own passions or dreams, anytime we take the time to work on our career, or even to focus on our own health and well-being.
It’s omnipresent guilt that is there in the background All. The. Time. That little nagging voice that keeps telling us we should be more, do more, love more, nurture more, give more, serve more, and even pray more.
That little voice that says whatever we’ve done, it’s probably not enough.
I was confronted with this guilt head on this week, and let me tell you, it wasn’t fun.
You see, after homeschooling our girls for a semester in the fall, they were starting their first day of “real” school on Monday. And so, on Sunday evening I picked out their uniforms and helped them pack up their backpacks and blow-dried their hair and made sure they were 100% ready to go.
But my main reason for all this proactiveness was that I had plans to hit the gym on Monday morning. I figured since everything had been done the night before, I would be able to sneak off for an hour workout and get back just in time to see them off and snap a few requisite first-day-of-school photos.
Except I got the time wrong.
I thought school started at 8:30, but really it was 8, and although when I discovered the mistake, I rushed home to try to make it, I was too late.
They had already left for school.
I missed saying goodbye, and wishing them luck on their first day. Missed giving my mom lecture on being kind and watching out for the kids who are being left out. Missed making sure their hair looked cute and their socks were pulled up. Missed taking pictures.
I missed it all. It felt like a punch to the gut.
But thankfully, this whole mom guilt thing is something I’ve had to deal with before, and it is something I’ve had to work hard to overcome. And honestly, I think it comes down to resolving to stop listening to that little voice that tells us we are failing and to declare our home a guilt-free zone.
Because think about the choice we are giving ourselves. We can either not go after our goals or pursue our dreams and live a life of regret, or we try to pursue our dreams and constantly feel guilty in the process.
Either way we lose.
But does it really have to be that way?
I want to pick Door #3, the option where I get to choose to make big goals and go after them, and NOT feel guilty about it!
Why shouldn’t I? And more importantly, why shouldn’t you?
All we have to do is make the choice.
What would happen if we all adopted a Mama Manifesto that went something like this:
From this moment forward, I refuse to choose between pursuing my big goals and dreams and being a great mom, because I know that being a great mom doesn’t mean I have to be a perfect mom.
I believe that the best way I can serve my family is by creating a life that works for all of us, and that the best example I can set for my kids is a mama who is passionate and driven and willing to do hard things, take risks, and go after big dreams.
I choose to stop putting unrealistic expectations on myself for all the things that I am “supposed” to do, and will instead get clear about my priorities. We all get the same 24 hours, and no one can do it all, so from this moment on, I choose to focus the bulk of my time and energy on the things that matter most to me.
I give myself permission to let some things go, and I give myself permission to take shortcuts, without feeling guilty. I choose to believe that sometimes good enough is plenty.
I give myself permission to stop comparing myself to the moms I see around me, or to the unrealistic image I see in the media, in magazines, or on social media. I give my permission to stop paying attention to anything that makes me question my own self-worth as a mom.
I give myself permission to practice self-care so that I can be a better mom, a better wife, a better friend, and a better person. I give myself permission to not be perfect, and I will stop expecting others around me to be perfect as well.
I choose to believe that giving myself grace is not the same as making excuses, and while I give myself permission to not be perfect, I refuse to give up or to stop trying.
I understand that there will be moments of frustration in my journey, and that there will sometimes be roadblocks and setbacks that get in my way, but I will keep reminding myself that every breakdown leads to a breakthrough, and I will keep going, even when things are hard.
I know that courage doesn’t mean that I am never scared; instead, courage is taking action in spite of fear. And so, every single day, I will choose to Do It Scared®, because that is who I am.
I will be a strong, passionate, courageous mother for my children. I will love them like crazy and encourage them to be strong, passionate, and courageous as well. I will lead by example.
This is the mom I want to be, and the one my kids deserve.
This is my mama manifesto.

The truth is that as moms, we CAN choose to stop that mom guilt in its tracks and instead pick a different path, one that gives us the freedom and permission to pursue our goals and dreams, create a life we love AND still be a great mom.
And I guess that is my challenge for you this week--stop your mom guilt in its tracks by adopting your own Mama Manifesto, and then reminding yourself what it says, over and over again, as many times as it takes for the message to sink in. You don’t have to be all things to all people. Your kids will be okay if you’re not perfect. You have my permission to go after your goals and your dreams without feeling the least bit bad about it.
