Motivation for Monday: In Times of Crisis

This is motivation for Monday which will soon be Tuesday . . .

What a day, what a day.  I really wanted to get this post out a lot earlier but I locked my self out of the house. I had to wait 3 hours for my kids to come home from school to open the door for me.  SMH. Do you want to feel my reconstruction of frustration as I  reminisce about how I had to sit in my 95 degree sweltering garage?  I had no key to open the door that led to the cool air conditioned house.  It just wasn't the best situation.  Bright side: I did manage to clean out a corner of the garage.  There was a much needed declutter rescue mission that needed to happen, and it did happen today.

Everybody's Crisis is different and has different levels.

Friends, some of us are bad planners, while some of us are just slow learners.  Some of us are slow healers, while others are just excited to jump into new things with out a safety net.  Some of us are too safe and we never experience anything in life.  Every person has their own experiences and their own conflicts with life.  Let us all be sensitive to each person's situation and to each person's crisis.  What is not a crisis to you may very well be crisis to someone else.

My above complaint about me spending three hours cleaning my garage is my excuse for not getting to my blog.  It was no one else's fault but my own.  It happened because of my poor planning.
Another thing I didn't plan for was my total melt down at church on Sunday.  It was Father's day.  I was so busy doing running around for the Church, I did not stop to think that my emotional ticker was soon to go of.  I had lost my father this past December and I'm not alright yet.  I hurt.  I cry when I start to actually remember that he is no longer here with me.  Father's day is a huge reminder of that fact.  I failed to plan for the emotional pull this loss really had on my soul and so I had a melt down.

It would not be fair for me to expect any person to feel my pain like I did.  Or would it?  Would it be a requirement for people to get down in the sludge with you, feel your pain with you during your time of crisis and cry your same tears of hurt?  Perhaps.  Perhaps not.  Let me tell you who was there for me . . . The Holy Spirit. . . In both situations, the Holy spirit sent me comfort.  First,  he had sent my daughters to me; rubbing my back and telling me to breathe.  I wept for my daddy on the bathroom floor, fetal position, wanting to see him on Father's day. Then, today in the garage, the Holy Spirit calmed me down and gave me something constructive to do.

Only the best of friends share and feel your hurt.  They cry with you and they cry for you.  The Holy Spirit is your best friend.  He knows exactly who to use in order to talk directly to you in your time of crisis.

I just want to let you know that we all are hurting.  We all are experiencing some type of crisis in our lives.  I want to let you know that you can get through it.  You can and will overcome like you have many times before.  Be strong and be courageous.   Remember what the Lord told you:  He will never leave you nor forsake you.  Believe this.  Keep your faith and your hope in the promise of eternal life.  You can live this life.  You can get through any crisis!

I was reading this book by Mike Murdock called "Wisdom for Crisis Times."  The chapter on divorce really resonated with me because it was very practical in applying wisdom to the process of moving forward.  We can relate the wisdom found in this chapte to any loss or break away from something familiar.  I was really looking at it regarding the loss of my job.  I even tried to use this wisdom to help navigate my feelings about losing my father.  It pointed out the following:

-God is the only one that can heal your broken heart
-Change your focus:  Focus on your future
-Change you conversation because you former mate is not your enemy.
-Yes it is a crisis time, yes it is a failure, but it does not have to be fatal or final for you.

2 scriptures to meditate on:

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee."  Isaiah 26:3

"What so ever things are true . . . honest. . . just. . . pure. . .lovely. . .of good report; if there be any virtue, and . . . praise, think on these things" Philippians 4:8

APPLICATION

and also your Motivation for Monday:

Think of the goodness of the Lord and these loving type of thoughts will get you through your crisis time.

I am just sharing with you a few things out of this book that I think will help you through any type of loss, or crisis time.  We may not always be prepared but we must make the best out of a bad situation.  We may not always be ready, but we have to keep focus to keep moving forward.

Before I go, let me leave you with these "Wisdom Keys" for getting through Crisis times as spelled out my Mike Murdock in his book.

-Your struggle is proof that you have not yet been conquered.
- Satan is the real source of all your pain you will experience in your life time
-God never consults your past to determine your future.
-Your measure of forgiveness to another, determines God's measure of forgiveness to you
-If time really heals, then God is not necessary (so time does not heal, God does)
-Your focus determines you feelings (focus on the good)
-Loneliness is Not the absence of affection, but the absence of direction
-Never discuss your problem with someone Incapable of solving it
-Crisis is merely a season for creativity
-You have no right to anything you have not pursued
-The broken become masters at mending

and with that friends, I encourage you to keep pressing towards the mark of the higher calling.
We feel pain, and we are often inconvenienced by the circumstances of life,
but God loves us.
Jesus died for us
and his Holy Spirit is sent to comfort us in times of crisis

Motivation for Monday: The Bible

Good Morning and Happy Monday,

I wish you all well and pray that you had a good weekend.

I want to encourage you with hope today.  I want to give you hope of a life to come.  I want to share with you the promise of an everlasting life. . .

If you read my blog, then you know that this is what I say all of the time.  I promote the goodness of our God, and the gift he gave us in Jesus Christ. When we believe in Jesus Christ as our savior from our wrong thinking, we have a choice to make about our lives. We now have a choice to live our lives for God and experience everlasting peace, or we can live our lives for the world.  If we live our lives for the world, then we will be in danger of spending eternity in hell fire. . .

This is not the Motivation

I need to let you know that you are a spirit living in a temporary body.  One day this body will get old and warn out.  Your spirit will need somewhere to go.  Do you know where your spirit will go?

Here goes the thing.  The biggest weapon that the world has against you is your ignorance of your rights as a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven.  That is right!  When you except Jesus as your Lord and savior, you are becoming a citizen of his kingdom.  You no longer have to live to the rules of this world.  The Holy Spirit wants to teach you the culture of your Kingdom.  We learn more about how to act, what to expect, how to talk, how to contribute, and how to live successfully by reading the constitution of our Kingdom.

What is the Constitution?

The Bible!!

In the Bible you can find all that you need to live successfully in the Kingdom of Heaven.  The good news is that we don't have to wait to live successfully when we die, we can live successfully now! We can live with joy, peace, patience, love, gentleness, meekness, and hope for our future.  We have something to look forward to, and we have things to be thankful for.

Rejoice! Again I say Rejoice!

Here is your Motivation for Monday:

We have directions to live a successful life today!  We also have the Holy Spirit to guide us in all understanding. . . We have the tools to live forever!!

Forever Living is Awesome!!!

But I know that today; living in the now is of essence to most of us.  So, I tell you to pick up your bible.  Read something everyday.  Some people may say that it doesn't take all of that for God to know that you love him.  Some people may say that it doesn't take all that to draw closer to the Lord.  I am here to tell you that those people don't read their bible because my bible says that if you draw close to him, he will draw close to you.  My bible says that we should meditate on this word day and night in order to have good success.  My bible tells me to love my God with all my heart, mind, and soul.  Hence, I will pick up my constitution and I will read it so that I can be prepared today, tomorrow, and forever more.

Here is the thing, is this going to be an automatic habit to read your word everyday?  No,  It will take time an practice.  However, I believe that you will get the hang of it.  I believe in you!

God Bless you.
Read your bible and learn God's definitions of success
Remember to Live your Life on Purpose

Until Next Time

Wisdom Wednesday: 21 Verses for Confidence

Greetings friends,

I just wanted to share some things with you that help me through my journey.  I like to review scriptures that remind me of God's goodness and his promises.

God had made me a personal promises about two years ago.  He set it on my heart to write a book and to start a business.  I have been given step by step directions in what to do, what to study, and how to start this business.  However, not much of the business part is being started!

I often ask my self in my alone time, "Is this really going to happen for me?"  "Am I crazy?"  "Was I just hearing what I wanted to hear?"

In moments like these,  I beat myself up for my failure.  I often condemn myself for not being further than what I want to be.  Then I hear something say:

"It is for an appointed time."

Then I reply, "But it is taking soooo long. . . I'm going to run out of money. . . the word says if you don't work, you don't eat.  I feel like a slacker!"

Then the Lord says to me

"I will provide your every need. . . your labor is not in vain. . ."

Sometimes we get nervous and we worry that we are doing something wrong.  This is normal.  We usually are afraid that we are going against God's will somehow or that we made a wrong turn when things don't go according to our plan.  However, the word says that many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is God's purpose that will prevail.  This means that God has a plan.  We must trust in God's plan!

I just want to share with you some verses/passages that I rehearse in order to restore my confidence.  God  wants us to continuously believe and trust in the promises that he has made for us.   My flesh needs to be reminded that God made me, he has a plan for my life, and that he has made a way for me to re-build my confidence.

21 verses that will help rebuild your confidence in the Vision that God has for your life. . .

So, do not  throw away your confidence, it will be greatly rewarded.   Hebrews 10:35 My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
2 Corinthians 12:9
Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
Joshua 1:8

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Joshua 1:9

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Zachariah 4:10

Therefore, my beloved brethern, be ye steadfast, unmovable always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the lord

Romans 8:28
. . .with us is the Lord our God to help us, and to fight our battles. . .
2 Chronicles 32:8

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Galatians 6:9 NIV

The vision is for an appointed time.  Be patient and wait for it.  It will come to pass.

Habakkuk 2:3

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;

2 Corinthians 3:5

But they that wait upon the Lord Shall renew their strength they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not get weary and they shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31

And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised.

 Hebrews 6:15 NIV

Always be full of joy in the Lord; I say it again rejoice! Let everyone see that you are unselfish and considerate in all that you do.  Remember that the Lord is coming soon.  Don’t worry about anything; instead pray about everything; tell God your needs and don’t forget to thank him for his answers.  If you do this you will experience God’s Peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand.  His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts queit and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7

And you Affirm these things:

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Philippians 4:13

I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Psalms 91:2

I live by the faith of the son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me Galatians 2:20

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Psalms 139:4

I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
Psalm 37:25

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Phillipians 4:8

Here is your wisdom for Wednesday: Meditate on the word of truth, rightly dividing it for your application and understanding. The Lord is with you. And I continue to read the good report of the news of a savior. He has already conquered all things for me. In him I put my trust. In him I renew my confidence. Thank you for your word of truth that I will meditate on day and night. Until next Time -Tamorra

Motivation for Monday: Your Confidence

Greetings friends,

Art Teacher here to motivate you for your week ahead.  I am here to let you know that God loves you and he has great plans for your life.  I like to think of myself kind of like a spiritual growth mentor. . . I'm not trying to say that I do this thing better, not at all.  We each have our walk and our own personal journey to truth.  We each need to develop our close and personal relationship with the Lord.  Don't let anyone try to convince you that you have to do more in order for God to want a relationship with you.  He loves you, and he desires a relationship with you.

I would like to help you develop

a closer relationship with the Lord.

I have to be honest, I do feel like I have recently entered into a whole new arena with God.  It feels good to communicate with the Lord. I don't make this statement for anyone to doubt their personal communication with the Lord, but instead, I wish to open your eyes to the possibilities of a relationship with him.  A close, intimate, and personal relationship is important.  it is necessary to survive this life.

Perhaps there were those who came before us who have experienced this intimacy with the Lord, but they just didn't know how to share it with others. Perhaps too many of us have encountered those high minded, holier than thou Christians who forgot about their journey.  They forgot about their sinful nature and their backward thinking.  Now, they go around trying to make others feel bad about a journey  they must live in order to meet their full potential.  These type of so called Christians like to steal other people's confidence.  I say, enjoy your life, this is the reason why God gave it to you.  I say, develop a relationship with the lord so that he can tell you the best way to live your life.  Keep your confidence.

Some good Christian examples never had a platform to really share with others their step by step journey.  Often times we just see the "great man of God," or the "spiritual prayer warrior," with out really knowing everything that they have went through.  Everyone has room to grow in Christ. Everyone.

As Christians, we have many troubles, many trials.  I have said before that our trials make us stronger.  It is all about the training and all about the process of living, learning, and loving.

Do you have difficultly finding confidence?

Does your difficult trials make you doubt your journey?

I have been going through something for the past 5 years.  It's hard.  I haven't quite found my footing yet.  When I think things are getting better, things get worse.  Sometimes I feel like life is too much of a struggle to go on.  I lose my confidence often in myself, but I have full confidence that God will bring me through all my troubles.  This is the confidence that I have to hold on to.

***

Something that I have been battling with lately is my confidence.  It's low . . . and going lower . . .

Why is this?

I have peace in the Lord but everything that can be going wrong is.

I'm not too concerned with my bankruptcy, until they tell me I need to replace my roof.   I'm not too concerned that I don't have steady work until I have a fight with my husband about paying bills.  I'm not too concerned with my business not making any money until I am reminded that I have to pay for the renewal of my website.   I'm not too concerned that I have a few followers on Google + until someone challenges me on what I "should be doing."  I'm not too concerned about the battery on my car going dead again until someone reminds me of where I need to be.

I'm not really sweating it until someone or something else tries to make an interpretation of how I should feel about it . . .

I rebuke the attack of the enemy on my mind!

Here is the thing, if I keep listening to those other people, I will end up in my bed, under the covers everyday!  Probably throwing a whoa is me pity party, watching Netflix, and eating my favorite snacks.  But I know this is the state that the enemy wants me in.  And although I may feel this way sometimes, I know that it is not beneficial to my growth.

I reach back and remember the promises of God.  I reach back and think about what he said he will bring me through.  I reach back and remember that he said he will never leave me nor forsake me.  I reach back and remember that he told me that he has plans for me.  I reach back and remember that he said if I was obedient to what he told me to do, then I would be ok.

What does this mean?

This means that people will bring messages to you in all types of situations.  They will bring messages of defeat, of doubt, and of shame, but you should not believe those people.  They don't know that they are being used by the enemy.  The enemy is a liar!!  Instead reach back and remember the promises of God.  Reach back to the word and grab your confidence!

All of these troubles I see are trying to steal my confidence.  Any type of theft is a tactic of the enemy. Any type of lie is a tactic of the enemy . . .

Devil You can't have my Confidence!

Here goes a truth that is going to blow you away . . . You are responsible for keeping your confidence.  The scripture says don't throw it away.  I no longer will blame people.  I will continue to love them.  Instead, I hold my self responsible for the truth that is in my heart.  If I don't put the right things in my heart, then how will I know if I am being lied to.  I keep my confidence by knowing the word of truth.

This is what I say to all those voices in my head about the money situation.  This is the main situation for many of us: MONEY!  The enemy tries to use it, or lack of it, to get us to forget the promises of God.  Over and over the enemy tries to tell me what I can and cannot afford.  Instead, I just thank God for the roof that is already over my head!  It is still there and it is still holding up.  I found out that I don't have to renew my website until 2019, they sent me the reminder 1 year early!  I just got an email that my substitute job offers work over the summer, so that it taking care of.  God reminded me that I know what I am doing with building my E-Book business because I am the one who is doing the research for it and anyone else can put their two sense in anywhere they want to.  They don't know the amount of work I am doing, so, they have nothing to say to me!

I am currently waiting on the answer about the car.  I think the consensus is that I should stay home and write this week.  Which would be a great treat for me!!

The word tells me that my labor is not in vain.
He loves me too much to leave me
He has plans for me
He is my present help
He will provide all my needs
He gives me hope for a future
He gives me joy
peace
patience
provision
vision

I believe God.  I have grown to the point where I sow the word of truth in my heart so that any lie that comes against me I combat it with scripture.  I no longer believe the limits that the world puts on me.  Instead I know that this walk will take patience.  It may not happen as fast as I want it to, but all my trust is in the Lord.  All of my confidence is in the Lord.  He doesn't fail.

I said all of this to motivate you to keep going in what ever God has called you to do . . .

Motivation for Monday:

DO NOT throw away your confidence, it would be greatly rewarded!

Hebrews 10:35

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward.  For ye have need of patience that, after ye have done the will of God ye might receive the promise. KJV

God promised us a lot.  I encourage you to look in your word and find those promises.  Sow this word in your heart.  Read it, listen to it, study it.  This is going to help you to grow into that prayer warrior or that great Man/Woman of God.

Check this video out.  I looked at this message over the weekend, which inspired me to write this post.  I watch teachings like this all of the time because it feeds my soul.  This is from the Elevation Church.  The preacher is Steven Furtick.  He is an awesome man of God.
