I found another site about prayer. I read through some of her post and It helped me a great bit. Hence, I know that this site will help you in your prayer life. It is going to tell you the reasons why we pray, how to pray, and the power of prayer. I also enjoyed this site because she talks about building your relationship with God. This is one of the main reasons we pray . . . so that we can get to know him and talk to him. Prayer is not all about making request and asking God to do something for you. Prayer is about building your relationship with God so that he can let you know who you are to him. Prayer is about thanking God, praising God, and learning what he needs you to do.
Thank God for his nature! He gives certain ones great insight on specific subjects. Kathryn has an insight and understanding of prayer that I think you should take advantage of. Her book pray deep is now on my to read list.

I just wanted to link you up with it real quick as I prepare myself for my time with God. I love setting a day aside, not only to talk God, but having that opportunity to spend quite time with him. The more time you spend with him, the more he will teach you how to pray. He will teach you the importance of your words. And he will guide you in exactly what to say. This is my prayer today, right now, to encourage those who need prayer and desire to know how to pray.
Remember that your words are powerful, so use them wisely.

Lord heavenly Father that is in Heaven
High and lifted up you are
There is no one above you and no one beside you
This is why we praise your name because we know that you are holy
We know that you are just
We know that you are merciful and gracious
Therefore we trust in all your decisions
We trust that you know the best thing for us
We trust that you will lead us to where you need us to go
And we continue to praise you because you do exactly what you say
And because we believe your word father
We know that you will bless us
We know that you will keep us in perfect peace
We know that you desire for us to be happy and successful
not according to man's standards but according to your holy word
Therefore we follow your word Lord
Therefore we read your word and meditate on it
Therefore we do all that it says
For then we will have good success
And Lord because of this also we continue to believe
Our faith continues to grow as you continue to give us the resources we need to grow
And so father we pray for those you have sent to us
We pray for their strength in the Lord
We pray that no weapon that the enemy forms against them will prosper
For this is a promise in your word
We believe in your promises forever and ever
Forever and ever you reign
We continue to pray for covering for our leaders
covering for those who hold your truth in their heart
covering for them who are lost but are chosen to be found
covering for those who or weak, sick and afflicted
covering for those who are searching for truth
covering for those who desire a closer walk with you
covering for those who have missed stepped but are trying to find their way back
covering for those who have compromised and have fallen out of the will of God
Oh my Father and heaven because you are so just and mighty and all powerful
I know you can do these things
I know that you can equip us with that warfare of prayer
Tell me now Lord what else I should say for my prayer to be even more powerful
Lord guide my words even as I write, but also as I talk
Let them be as powerful as a two edged sword, cutting through the lies of the enemy
Open up eyes so they may see
Open up ears so that they may hear
Open up hearts so that they may be changed
In order to receive the goodness and the mercy of the Lord
Break the delusion of man and help him understand the purpose and power of prayer
Wake us up and help guide us to our purpose
Break the curses that hold us back so that the Kingdom can be seen and realized
For it will be realized
It is in your word that we ought to change our mind to prepare for the Kingdom
help us develop the mind of Christ
I pray that people become prepared
I pray that minds become prepared
I pray that our leaders become prepared
I pray that your disciples become prepared
help us to fight against the powers of darkness, against the principalities that are set against us, against the rulers that are in high places that set laws against us for their personal gain.
We rebuke their works and bind their words, and send them to the place you have prepared for them
We rebuke them in the name of your Son with the power of the Holy Spirit
We love you and we serve you and we can do nothing with out you, so we continue to pray for your power, your wisdom, your gifts, your mercy, your grace
And we enter your courts with praise because you deliver everytime
You are King
you declare and decree
Bless your name oh holy God
Hear the prayers of the righteous
Hear the prayers of those who want to serve you
Hear our prayers swiftly
Hear our prayers with the sincerity of our hearts
Thank you for saving us through grace by faith
Thank you for this gift
And thank you for the gift of prayer
Glory to you forever
